BlackRock’s war on energy never stopped
BlackRock’s war on energy never stopped By Jason Isaac Excerpt: Texans deserve honesty about who is trying to strangle the industries that keep the lights on and food on our tables. Unfortunately, the recent decision to remove BlackRock from Texas’s list of energy boycotters was based on little more than press releases and wishful thinking. […]
The Wind Energy “Con Job” Was Faltering Long Before Trump Slammed It In Scotland
https://robertbryce.substack.com/p/the-wind-energy-con-job-was-faltering By Robert Bryce Excerpt: I disagree with President Trump on several issues. But when it comes to contempt for Big Wind, we are like peas in a pod. And we have been podmates for more than a decade. I can’t find the exact date, but more than a decade ago, Trump mentioned me and […]

Trump accurately sums up windmills: ‘They’re killing the beauty of our scenery…It’s the most expensive form of energy. It’s no good. They’re made in China…they rust & rot’ – ‘The whole thing is a con job’

‘If alternative energy is so cheap, why does it still need government support?’
https://www.wsj.com/opinion/more-u-n-climate-nonsense-8100cfa2 More U.N. Climate Nonsense By James Freeman Excerpt: Backers of inefficient and unreliable energy production used to say that wind and solar breakthroughs were just around the corner. But one can use this argument to secure government subsidies for only so many decades before taxpayers start asking why they have to support an infant […]
UN claim: ‘The fossil fuel age is flailing & failing’ – Reality Check: 77% of global energy comes from fossil fuels

In 1995, 76.6% of our energy came from fossil fuels. As of 2023, 76.5% comes from fossil fuels. Over the last 30 years, the global share of fossil fuel use has decreased by 0.1 percentage points. The great ‘zero-carbon renewables’ deception
Wind and solar systems, the darlings of California’s energy policy, may not emit carbon dioxide while generating electricity. However, their production, transportation, installation, maintenance, and disposal are energy-intensive and emit copious amounts of carbon dioxide, as does virtually every other industrial enterprise.
Copper for wiring and electricity transmission lines is mined and smelted using fossil fuels. Transport and installation of these systems require diesel-powered trucks and other heavy machinery. Batteries used to back up intermittent wind and solar systems require lithium, cobalt, and nickel, all mined with the support of internal combustion engines and often by ethically questionable methods.
The steel of the modern wind turbine and of the massive pillars supporting them are forged in coal-based blast furnaces. The gigantic blades are made of fiberglass and resins with heat and feedstock derived from petroleum. Foundations for these behemoths require vast quantities of cement, whose manufacture releases significant quantities of CO2.
STEVE MILLOY: Trump’s Energy Report Card…President gets an A-plus! – ‘Unleashing American Energy’

https://dailycaller.com/2025/07/20/opinion-trumps-energy-report-card-steve-milloy/ By Steve Milloy July 20 marks six months into President Trump’s second term. Unleashing the fossil fuel and nuclear industries, and terminating the Green New Scam were major planks of his campaign. So what are his first semester grades for setting policy and policy implementation? Awesome with a few concerns. For setting policy, the […]
AI killed the climate change agenda: ‘Wind, solar & battery technologies…are not available at the scale or reliability needed to fuel expected AI data center demand’
The promise of AI is bringing back commonsense energy policy. Fox News (7/15/25) Opinion: “President Trump’s announced $500 billion private sector AI investment is a critical enabler for our country. But artificial intelligence won’t power itself. It needs vast amounts of electricity, delivered affordably and reliably. U.S. policy has often prioritized climate idealism over energy […]
Netherlands rations electricity to ease power grid stresses as it shifts to ‘greener economy’ – ‘Early indicator of what other European countries are likely to suffer’ trying ‘to meet the bloc’s ambitious decarbonisation targets’

Financial Times – July 13, 2025: More than 11,900 businesses are waiting for electricity network connections, according to Netbeheer Nederland, the association of Dutch grid operators. On top of that are public buildings such as hospitals and fire stations as well as thousands of new houses.
Dutch officials and companies said lengthy waits for connections were holding up economic growth and could force businesses to rethink their investment plans. Despite efforts to invest in new cables and substations, new connections in some areas of the country will only become available in the mid-2030s, according to network operators.
Although the bottlenecks in the Netherlands are particularly acute, analysts say it is a harbinger of what is likely to occur in other EU countries, as the speed of electrification increases to meet the bloc’s ambitious decarbonisation targets. …
The Hague has also put out a “more conscious use of energy” advertising campaign across TV and social media that asks consumers to charge bikes and cars outside of the 4pm-to-9pm peak, when the grid comes under greatest strain. …
Eefje van Gorp, spokesperson for Tennet, said that other countries should beware. “Belgium is in trouble. The UK is in trouble. In Germany there’s lots of trouble because in Germany all the wind is in the north and the demand is in the south.”
