Meteorologist Cliff Mass: Without global warming, we “still would have experienced the most severe heat wave of the past century.” ... Mass concluded climate change didn’t play a central role in an event largely caused by the natural variability of our regional weather. He notes the temperature soared by more than 40 degrees above the normal high, and climate change added only a few degrees, thus “a record-breaking unique heat wave” would have occurred even without global warming. In his blog, he lays out a golden rule that — based on this analysis — the bigger the temperature surge in an extreme event, the smaller the role of climate change, and accuses the World Weather Attribution report of “misinforming millions.” Mass says his criticism is grounded in a deep knowledge of the intricate mix of ocean, mountains and atmospheric flows that help to produce Northwest weather, as well as climate models he runs. ...
“I don’t believe we are facing any kind of existential threat,” Mass said. “But it is not a good idea to muck around with the climate of the planet.”
Tony Heller of RealClimateScience.com: "This warming trend since 1970 does not exist in the thermometer data, so where does it come from?
There has been a large decrease in the number of stations reporting data over the past 30 years. But in the final adjusted data set, they use temperatures for all 1,218 stations regardless of whether or not there is actually any thermometer data.
In other words, they are simply making up data. More than 40% of the data in the final data set is now fabricated.
NOAA US temperature graphs are completely fraudulent, and they are being adjusted upwards to track CO2.
"It's absurd, everywhere there's a record hot temperature they claim this evidence of global warming" said Marc Morano, author of a great new book titled "Green Fraud: Why The Green New Deal Is Even Worse Than You Think". ... The real motive? Green, from the 'green new deal'. "This is what happens when you have people with a vested interest in pushing an agenda" Morano told KTRH, "Every single weather event is now more of a reason to push the new green deal. They're using the weather for their own personal lobbying interests, and we've seen this now for decades."
But it's not funny. Why? Because the next move? "We are facing the morphing of Covid lockdowns to Climate lockdowns" Morano said. "They're going to be limiting our freedoms in order to save the climate."
Paul Homewood: "It is absolutely clear that the number of strong tornadoes has declined since the 1970s. Alarmingly, however, this page has been 'disappeared', and the link now comes up with this:
Fortunately Wayback still has a copy of the original web page, and I also have it on file. It is blindingly apparent that NOAA found their original assessment far too inconvenient, something that should be kept out of the public domain at all cost."
Climate chauses wind speeds to decrease...Except when climate change causes wind speeds to increase...
Claim: Atmosphere expert Professor Paul Williams, of the University of Reading, told the Financial Times that winds have ‘generally weakened over land over the past few decades’. He said one explanation for plummeting wind speeds could be ‘human-related climate change’, that would see poles warming ‘faster than tropics in lower atmosphere’ areas. Prof Williams said: ‘This would have the effect of weakening the mid-latitude north-south temperature difference and consequently reducing the thermal wind at low altitudes.’
