Watch: Morano on OAN TV: Biden admin, in its final days, is engaging in ‘economic & domestic terrorism against the USA’s energy infrastructure’ – ‘This is a deliberate sabotage of American energy that even the Unabomber’ could not have envisioned

REAL AMERICA — Dan Ball W/ Marc Morano, Biden Bans Offshore Oil & Gas Drilling, 1/7/25

Rush Transcript:
Marc Joining us now. Marc Morano is the founder of the climate depot.com Marc, we got a lot of ridiculous changes to discuss as you sit there and smoke your pipe inside. A leftist would have your head for that, sir, you’re not allowed to do that. Put that pipe out, polluting the air around me.
Marc Morano: I’m not doing my part, my CO two emissions from this pipe are causing major problems. And this is, this is a tobacco pipe just to be clear.
Dan Ball: All right, where do we begin the offshore drilling. Let’s go with offshore drilling. Let’s go with Officer.
Marc Morano: Let me just make a broad statement that summarizes this.
What we are witnessing in the final days of the Biden administration is nothing short of the deliberate sabotaging of American energy, some of it almost irreversible.
Specifically, the oil and gas ban covers nearly three-quarters of a billion acres, almost a billion acres, on the East and West Coasts. This is a deliberate sabotage of American energy that even the Unabomber in his shack in Montana couldn’t have envisioned many decades ago.
This is absolute economic and domestic terrorism against the United States’ energy infrastructure.
I hate to say, ‘Biden’s doing it’, because I don’t think Biden’s in charge. I think this is the Biden administration.
Biden is doing this based on a 1953 law that he can ban it energy exploration, but the law has no provision to unban it. So even though Donald Trump is saying he’s going to unban it, day one, this will end up in the courts. This is designed to create chaos, muck up the idea of any natural gas or oil exploration off of our coast, on the eastern and western seaboards, almost the entire coastlines now, and it will raise costs. It’s going to hate legal fees. It’s going to create lawsuits. It’s going to create a federal bureaucracy and paperwork trail.
They’re trying to make energy more expensive and more difficult, which is going to do is hammer Americans. This is not going to — I don’t want to curse — but it’s not going to do a darn thing to affect global emissions of carbon dioxide. None of this will the US lead the world in reducing carbon dioxide emissions. We have since we had fracking with natural gas replaced coal. Technology and innovation have led us. If you cared about reducing CO two emissions, which you really shouldn’t care about, but if you did, you’d be praising the Trump energy policy. We led the world when Donald Trump was president in reducing CO2 emissions. This will be very difficult to reverse and this will create high cost increases. The bans on all these appliances is completely bonkers because it’s virtue signaling you’re going to be paying a lot more for everything.

Background:
Biden Locks Up Oil And Throws Away The Key With Lame-Duck Restrictions – Excerpt: “I have the right to unban it immediately,” Trump said. An attempt at a swift annulment, however, might be more complicated than a mere new executive order. Biden’s use of the 1953 Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act means the last-minute executive order supposedly enjoys unique protections that cannot simply be undone by a reverse order. According to Bloomberg News, the 1953 law “included a provision giving presidents wide discretion to permanently protect waters from leasing, but it didn’t explicitly grant them the authority to undo those designations.” …
In 2019, a federal district court judge rejected Trump’s attempt to undo protections implemented under the law by President Barack Obama. Those protections covered more than 125 million acres of the Arctic and Atlantic Oceans. …
“I don’t think the issue has been totally resolved by the courts,” Jason Hill, a law partner at Holland & Knight, told The Federalist. … NBC reported on Monday that Biden’s use of the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act, however, means “it may take an act of Congress to reverse Monday’s announcement.”

Watch: Trump says he will reverse Biden’s offshore drilling ban

Via Power The Future:  Some of the actions the Biden Administration has implemented since Election Day include:

  • President Biden is expected to announce plans to prohibit new offshore oil and gas drilling along vast swaths of the U.S. coastline, including the Atlantic Coast, eastern Gulf of Mexico, and portions of Alaska.
  • The Administration is targeting home appliances once again, pursuing a misguided effort to phase out traditional water heaters in favor of expensive, government-approved alternatives.
  • The Biden Administration announced rules around their Natural Gas Tax that was hidden within the the Inflation Reduction Act. The new fee will raise the cost of home heating on Americans who use natural gas.
