‘Climate crisis’ illness?! NBC News: White House to unveil a ‘national dashboard’ for tracking ‘heat-related illnesses nationwide’ due to the ‘growing impacts of the climate crisis’

NBC News: President Joe Biden is under increasing pressure from lawmakers and state and local officials to do more to address an extreme heat crisis that has defined the summer of 2023. … The Biden administration plans to announce on Wednesday a new federal system to track¬†heat-related illness nationwide and is considering additional measures amid pressure to do more to help Americans deal with crippling summer heat, according to White House officials. …¬†

The new national dashboard, which will be overseen by the Health and Human Services Department, maps emergency services responding to heat-related illness calls across the country, officials said. The ‚ÄúEMS HeatTracker‚Äù is intended to help ensure sufficient medical aid gets to Americans who need it most during severe heat, officials said. … ‚ÄúHeat is no longer a silent killer. From coast-to-coast, communities are battling to keep people cool, safe and alive due to the growing impacts of the climate crisis,‚Äù Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra said in a statement. …

One of the challenges, even if FEMA could declare a disaster for heat, would be deciding how to deploy teams to a weather event that could span dozens of states at a time and could go on for unpredictable amount of time, whereas other natural disasters are usually more limited in location and duration.

‘Vampire charging’: Electric Vehicle Charges Grid: ‘EVs can feed excess power back to the grid during peak demand, helping to prevent blackouts’ – ‘Vehicle-to-grid charging’

black vehicle

Terence West reported Wednesday for EnergyPortal that‚”PG&E, is exploring the potential of electric vehicles (EVs) to support the state’s fragile power grid.” What that means in practice is that CEO Patti Poppe wants a future where, “EVs can feed excess power back to the grid during peak demand, helping to prevent blackouts.” …

The concept, known as ‚”vehicle-to-grid‚” charging, involves sending power from an EV’s battery back to the grid while the car is parked and plugged in. This technology is still in its early stages and faces significant costs, hindering widespread adoption. However, EVs could play a crucial role in ensuring grid stability during periods of high energy demand and solar power shortages. …

Then there’s the matter of cost. “To encourage drivers to participate in bidirectional charging,” West conceded in his report, “utilities may need to offer incentives such as monetary compensation for the kilowatt hours contributed.”

USA Today features U. of Hawaii professor calling Maui wildfire climate link ‘misleading’ – Instead points to ‘unmanaged, nonnative grasslands that have flourished in Hawaii’

USA Today: Clay Trauernicht, a professor of natural resources and environmental management at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, said it would be misleading to simply blame weather and climate for the blazes. Instead, Trauernicht, who noted in 2018 that the area burned annually by wildland fire in Hawaii has quadrupled in recent decades, pointed to unmanaged, nonnative grasslands that have flourished in Hawaii after decades of declining agriculture…‚”Hawaii’s fire problem could be far, far more manageable with adequate support, planning and resources for fuel reduction projects, agricultural land use and restoration and reforestation around communities and the foot of our forests,” he wrote.

Prof. Trauernicht wrote on Twitter: “”Yes many parts of Hawaii are trending towards dryer conditions, BUT the fire problem is mostly attributable to the vast extents of nonnative grasslands left unmanaged by large landowners as we’ve entered a ‘post-plantation era’ starting around the 1990s.”
USA Today: Hawaii Wildfire Management Organization, a non-profit based in Waimea on Hawaii Island‚ “Hawaii has a wildfire problem,” the organization states on its website. “Each year, about 0.5% of Hawaii’s total land area burns each year, equal to or greater than the proportion burned of any other US state. Over 98% of wildfires are human-caused. Human ignitions coupled with an increasing amount of nonnative, fire-prone grasses and shrubs and a warming, drying climate have greatly increased the wildfire problem.”

What NASA & Science Admit but the Media are Failing to Report About Summer 2023 – Volcano injected ‘enormous plume of water vapor into Earth’s stratosphere’

When the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai volcano erupted on Jan. 15, it sent a tsunami racing around the world and set off a sonic boom that circled the globe twice. The underwater eruption in the South Pacific Ocean also blasted an enormous plume of water vapor into Earth’s stratosphere, enough to fill more than 58,000 Olympic-size swimming pools. The sheer amount of water vapor could be enough to temporarily affect Earth’s global average temperature.

Massive Water and Cloud Boost From Tonga Eruption Could Explain Recent Weather Patterns

The Infuriating Climate Alarm: ‘Weather is not climate change. Except when it’s really hot’ – ‘This summer has been rubbish in UK…It’s been cold, wet’

Both NASA and the ESA reported that the Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai underwater volcano eruption in January 2022 increased the amount of stratospheric water vapour by a minimum of 10%, possibly up to 30%. So vast was this expulsion of H2O that it is likely toincrease average global temperatures for several years to come. If you are looking for LM reports on the staggering global climate impact of this event, don’t bother. There aren’t any.

What Heatwave? Latest NOAA Data Show July Temperature in U.S. was Normal

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has updated its U.S. Contiguous USCRN Average Temperature Anomaly Datathrough July 2023, and as shown below, the month was unremarkable and continued a long period without a rising trend.

Larry Hamlin at Watts Up With That? comments: The measured data shows no supporting upward trends regarding U.S. 2023 average summer temperature anomalies to date. This reality flies in the face of the out-of-control media climate alarmist incompetent and idiotically hyped ‘tipping point’ climate change temperature propaganda this summer.

Globally, July 2023 was an unusually warm month, no doubt‚ though claims of it being the “hottest ever’ suffer from a multitude of dubious assumptions and data adjustments.

Scientist admits the ‘overwhelming consensus’ on the climate change crisis is ‘manufactured’

The UN created the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. “The IPCC wasn’t supposed to focus on any benefits of warming. The IPCC’s mandate was to look for dangerous human-caused climate change,”climatologist Dr. Judith Curry said. “Then the national funding agencies directed all the funding . . . assuming there are dangerous impacts. The researchers quickly figured out that the way to get funded was to make alarmist claims about ‚”man-made climate change” This is how “manufactured consensus” happens.
