Marc Morano: Identity politics has truly invaded the climate world but also the just in general, the science world. In the last few years, what Biden administration has been witnessing is NASA scientists saying that climate change is caused by white supremacy. We have a Rhode Island professor saying that the data is racist, that science and technology are racist, and you can’t rely on it. So how is it Biden administration can even evaluate whether their programs are working when the data is racist? And they’re pushing things like crash test dummies are misogynistic because they’re all male dummies — this is all coming from the Biden administration. And now we will be spending billions of dollars to correct what they call ‘environmental justice.’ We’re no longer Americans who all deal with the environment. We’re now going to be subdivided into categories for money and handouts to different communities and to the bureaucracies that manage the money. It won’t even go to the people allegedly impacted by this environmental racism when they seek environmental justice. But this is just another playing card and massive federal spending by the government and to divide more and more Americans.
Rachel Campos-Duffy: Marc, I was just going to say there won’t be any environmental justice for the people of these Palestine, which was a real environmental catastrophe, but they you know, both the wrong way and they’re the wrong color. So we know what this environmental justice is really about. I want to move to to AOC. You know, there were already down payments on her Green New Deal in terms of the infrastructure bill, which was basically the climate bill and then the Inflation Reduction Act, which another green new you know, you know, green energy bill had nothing to do with inflation. But here she is saying she’s reintroducing the deal. Just a few years ago, when we introduced the Green New Deal, we were told again and again, this is can we talk about how the green new deal has been, you know, with the emphasis on batteries and cobalt that needed to make those batteries how it’s been stripping the earth through these through mining, and how it is basically endorsing and promoting child labor and Africa with little kids. Mining for the cobalt in horrible conditions.
Marc Morano: Whether you’re talking solar wind, or electric car batteries, the entire premise of the Green New Deal has literally empowered China. Everything you just mentioned with China with low environmental rights, low human rights standards, underage children, buying up Africa, using these miners in Africa, we’ve seen the videos of horrific environmental and human rights working conditions. And we buy about 90% of our solar panels from China. It takes half a million pounds of mining materials for each electric car battery. And during all of this, Rachel, Chinese-made car exports are now skyrocketing past South Korea United States. This is the Green New Deal in action and China is benefiting every day as the United States shuts down our mining, Joe Biden is shutting down our energy, and our rare earth mining making us more dependent on China as well as the Middle East for oil. So you know, AOC — we’re still laughing at her and we’re still fighting her.
Rachel Campos-Duffy: Yeah, but in some ways she’s winning at least in terms of the youth. I’m really concerned about how they really bought into it. Great point; we are committing national suicide. China and Mexico, by the way now are both building coal plants. And we’re making ourselves more dependent on China, which is frightening and maybe more proof that Joe Biden is compromised. Marc Morano, thank you so much for joining us. Appreciate it. Climate Depot is website to get more information.

Energy analysis Mark P. Mills: “You have to dig up about 500,000 pounds of materials to make a single 1000-pound battery. it takes 100 to 300 barrels of oil to manufacture a battery that can hold one barrel of oil equivalent of energy.”
Full text: “There’s no such thing, of course, as a zero-emissions vehicle. The real question is, where are the emissions associated with the electric car? B Because what you do with an electric vehicle is you don’t eliminate emissions, you export them somewhere else. You have to dig up about 500,000 pounds of materials to make a single 1000-pound battery. it takes 100 to 300 barrels of oil to manufacture a battery that can hold one barrel of oil equivalent of energy. Just manufacturing the battery can have a carbon debt rate ranging from 10 tons to 40 tons of co2, and the plans that are in place to increase the use of batteries will require an increase in production of minerals like lithium, cobalt, zinc — demand for those minerals will increase between 400% and 4,000%. There isn’t enough mining in the world to make enough batteries for that many people for their car.” Source: The “Energy Transition” Delusion A Reality Reset – Report by Mark P.
