IN FOCUS w/ Alison Steinberg: Founder of The Climate Depot, Marc Morano, on Biden’s War on Energy
Morano excerpt: “This is mandating car shortages for Americans…with the design of forcing more people into public transit. You will go nowhere and be happy. … Once we don’t have the freedom of movement in America that we have grown accustomed to, they will be able to put all sorts of other mandates on you as well. They are making gas-powered cars statutorily extinct…creating radical chaos and car shortages.” …
Bypassing Democracy: “This is why they loved COVID lockdowns, and this is a way of recreating it through a regulatory process. By the way, no one’s voting on 15-minute cities. No one’s voting on gas car bans. No one’s voting on banning meat eating. No one’s voting on killing high-yield agriculture. But yet, somehow, it’s all happening through corporate government collusion, all bypassing democracy.”
1.5 C temperature goals: “It’s not science. It’s a political rallying cry to get us, the unwashed masses, to go along with the agenda. ‘Let’s limit the temperature. We can pass a law, and we can stop the earth’s temperature from going one way or the other.’ This is medieval witchcraft!”
Energy Dysphoria: “It is easier to transition your gender than it is your energy, particularly on the energy timescales they’re talking about. So if you think it’s impossible for a man to have a baby, well, then it’s equally impossible to have solar and wind power our entire economy. That’s the kind of delusion we’re living in right now.”

Daily Kos attacks my transgender/energy analogy: And after being on Dan Bongino’s Fox show, Marc Morano sent out an email promoting his appearance, including this choice quote illustrating how transphobia is being adopted more and more frequently by climate deniers searching for audiences: “It is easier to transition your gender than it is your energy, particularly on the energy timescales they’re talking about. So if you think it’s impossible for a man to have a baby, well, then it’s equally impossible to have solar and wind power our entire economy.” Ironically, since it’s not at all impossible for a man to have a baby, Morano’s quote has the opposite meaning from what he intended!
Climate Depot’s Morano response to Daily Kos: “Let’s end this energy dysphoria now. Let’s have fossil fuel energy ‘identify’ as solar and wind. Then everyone will be happy and we can stop being energy phobic. We will have energy that powers our economy and we can call it solar and wind. Problem solved.”

World Economic Forum calls to reduce private vehicles by eliminating ‘ownership’ – The World Economic Forum is looking to reduce global reliance on critical metals as nations look to make the transition to renewable energy supplies, and one proposal is reducing ownership of private vehicles. “This transition from fossil fuels to renewables will need large supplies of critical metals such as cobalt, lithium, nickel, to name a few,” the forum said in a report earlier this month.
“Shortages of these critical minerals could raise the costs of clean energy technologies.” …
WEF: “More sharing can reduce ownership of idle equipment and thus material usage,” the group argued, pointing to statistics that show the average vehicle in England is driven “just 4% of the time.”
