Selected Excerpts:

Morano on Biden’s energy policies: “I think the key point here is when it comes to inflation, it’s being driven by these high energy costs. And one of the things you can say that President Biden did with his rhetoric and actions and with the Treasury Department defunding fossil fuels — he sent a signal to all the energy markets, that America is closed for energy exploration.

And immediately you can look at the charts that almost the day President Biden was inaugurated, gas prices started to climb.

The energy markets sense the scarcity. So what he’s done is he’s fueled an economic disaster with high energy costs, leading to high inflation. And this is going to pound Americans who have already been two years in with COVID restrictions now facing very similar restrictions, basically canceling vacations, limiting choices, media articles bragging that you can’t eat meat and steak anymore and hamburgers because Americans are not going to be able to afford it. Food prices are going through the roof. This is a very, very bad signal and he’s gonna have to reverse policy given it’s a mid-term election year. I can’t imagine he’s going to keep doubling down and refuse to open pipelines and refuse to open energy exploration.

Morano:I think it’s absolutely it’s going to be inflation, energy costs, gasoline, food, the pocketbook issues that will be driving the mid-term elections. And I also think Afghanistan and how he handles Russia. That projection of weakness is a key factor. I mean, the Washington Post lamented that Jimmy Carter didn’t win a second term in 1980, and the Post lamented Ronald Reagan won. The paper said that if Carter had won a second term, we could have solved the climate crisis.

The media really loved Jimmy Carter’s first term, his only term and that’s literally what Joe Biden seems to be replicating to a tee — everything down to the projection of weakness to the foreign policy disasters to energy crisis to inflation. It’s amazing and I don’t think the voters are going to let Biden forget that.

Morano on the extension of airplane & train mask mandates from Biden admin: “The science has changed on COVID — the political science. It goes back to what happened in New Jersey, with Democrat Gov. Phil Murphy. They did focus groups and found that even their Democratic base wanted COVID restrictions to end, and wanted the ‘new normal’ to end. So that changed ‘the science.’

Fauci has disappeared. We need to get rid of the masks on airlines. I can’t believe that it is going to be extended another month. A lot of this has to do with flight attendant unions.

One epidemiologist from the University of California summed up the COVID mandates saying, tying mask mandates to hospitalization or case rates is as scientific as tying them to the phases of the Moon. It’s nonsense. It’s virtue signaling. It’s COVID theater, get rid of the COVID mandates once and for all — done, never to return.

NYT:

Shock 2018 video reveals the real reason for masks!  – Laurie Garrett, Senior Fellow in the Council on Foreign Relations in 2018: “The Major Efficacy of a Mask is That it Causes Alarm” – In a video that’s resurfaced from the National Academy of Medicine in 2018 Garrett says: “In one of Japan’s large studies they basically showed that the masks, it seemed like the major efficacy of a mask is that it causes alarm in the other person & so you stay away from each other.”
Garrett: “But did the mask really help them? Did the mask keep the virus out? Almost certainly not. If the virus was around their face, the mask would not have made a difference.”
