Prince Charles demands Great Reset: ‘We need a shift in our economic model that places nature & the world’s transition to net-zero at the heart of how we operate’

“A billion people will be displaced by climate change.” 

“Polluters will have to pay to emit carbon dioxide.” 

“There will be a global price on carbon this will help make fossil fuels history.” 

Dr. Matt Briggs: The Great Reset is a plan to move away from financial liberty to woke economics. This will be done in the now usual way. The WEF cajoled Bank of America and others to add “nonfinancial metrics and disclosures” to their annual reports, to answer questions such as “What is the gender pay gap in company X? How many people of diverse backgrounds were hired and promoted? What progress has the company made toward reducing its greenhouse-gas emissions?” “Business needed to do more than make a well-intentioned but vague pledge” to redress unwoke balances, they said. …

Way back in pre-doom days, in 2016, the WEF put out a video explaining how by 2030 you, dear reader, will no longer own anything. And “you’ll be happy” about this. All products will become services, they insist. Meat will become “a rare treat”.

There’s an excellent, longer-read summary of the key issues by Marc Morano at Climate Depot. Morano recognizes that the Great Reset is actually just a repackaged version of the Green New Deal, only with Covid-19 now being used as the big excuse for wholesale Socialistic transformation, rather than ‘climate change.’

He quotes healthcare journalist Peter Barry Chowka, who calls it ‘A flu d’état’: Health care journalist Peter Barry Chowka was blunt, calling the COVID/Climate “solution” linkage “a flu d’état.” “A takeover of our supposedly democratic political process by unelected & unaccountable administrative state medical bureaucrats,” Chowka warned, noting that all of the COVID solutions were virtually the same as the Green New Deal “solutions” to the purported climate “crisis.” “Overnight, our society is doing what radical leftist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and her fellow Green New Deal fanatics have demanded: An almost total end to air travel; personal automobile travel down to a trickle; promises of free health care for all quickly becoming the new status quo; and the ability of people to sit at home without working and receive a paycheck from the government. The Democrats want that to continue indefinitely,” Chowka wrote.

WEF’s Klaus Schwab: In September, my belief that a more virtuous capitalist system is possible was reaffirmed by an initiative of the forum’s International Business Council led by Brian Moynihan of Bank of America. They released the Stakeholder Capitalism Metrics: nonfinancial metrics and disclosures that will be added (on a voluntary basis) to companies’ annual reporting in the next two to three years, making it possible to measure their progress over time. … 

Doing so requires answering questions such as: What is the gender pay gap in company X? How many people of diverse backgrounds were hired and promoted? What progress has the company made toward reducing its greenhouse-gas emissions? How much did the company pay in taxes globally and per jurisdiction?

Biden’s “Build Back Better” plans also come straight out of the Great Reset movement’s playbook. For many years, supporters of the Great Reset at the World Economic Forum and elsewhere have talked about “building back better” by dramatically expanding the power of government, pursuing costly “green” infrastructure plans, and substantially increasing the authority of international institutions. …

Joe Biden is likely an advocate of the radical Great Reset, a proposal that, if enacted, would completely overhaul the world’s economy in favor of more collectivism and the centralization of power in the hands of international elites.”

Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft, said the coronavirus pandemic demonstrates that “simply shutting down” the U.S. economy won’t bring about net zero carbon emissions to fight climate change. …

Gates: “Simply shutting down is not going to get to our goal, so just as we need breakthrough innovation for COVID-19, we also need that to get rid of emissions from all the different sectors and bring down climate change,” Gates said during the annual meeting for the National Academy of Medicine. “This crosses many areas — how we make electricity, how we make industrial products, grow food, cool our buildings and all of transportation.”  …

“The change in behavior, like driving less or flying less is helpful but nowhere near sufficient — 2020 is a great example of this,” he said. “We’ve cut down carbon emissions … but the reduction in emissions is actually quite modest. When COVID-19 hit, air travel effectively stopped. Car travel last April was half what it was the year before, and even so the international energy agency estimates that the global emissions only dropped about 8% this year.” Characterizing climate change as “even scarier” than the COVID-19 pandemic, Gates predicted that climate change could result in 3 times more deaths than coronavirus.
