Scientists from around the world will look at latest climate data, analyze policy implications of embracing U.N. Diktats

MUNICH, Germany (November 21, 2018) – More than a dozen prominent scientists will be presenting evidence Friday and Saturday casting doubt on the United Nations’ assertion that human activity is causing a global warming crisis. The scientists will be speaking Nov. 23 and 24 in Munich at the European Institute for Climate and Energy’s (German acronym EIKE) 12th International Climate and Energy Conference, which will serve as a prebuttal to the United Nations Conference of the Parties Dec. 4 in Katowice, Poland.

The Heartland Institute is co-sponsoring the EIKE climate conference at the NH Munich East Conference Center which will be live-streamed at EIKE’s YouTube page from 3:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm ET on Friday, November 23 and 2:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 24.

Several of these scientists co-authored or reviewed portions of Climate Change Reconsidered, a series of comprehensive climate science volumes compiled by the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC). The newest volume in the series, Climate Change Reconsidered II: Fossil Fuels, will be unveiled at the Heartland Institute’s Dec. 4 climate panel in Katowice.

Among the highlights of the EIKE conference, scientists will discuss the latest science regarding natural climate cycles, sea level, solar variability versus atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations, shortcomings regarding renewable power, flaws in asserted temperature histories, the benefits of a warmer world, desertification, and ulterior goals of climate activists.

“The scientific evidence and conclusions reported by climate scientists are far different than what the environmental left and their legacy media allies would like the public to believe,” said Heartland Institute Senior Fellow James Taylor, who will be participating in the EIKE conference.“By co-sponsoring and livestreaming the EIKE conference, The Heartland Institute looks forward to smashing the media blackout of prominent skeptical scientists and important scientific evidence the public needs to know.”

The two-day conference will feature more than 20 presentations by scientists and experts from around the world, including: Horst-Joachim Lüdecke, Nicola Scafetta, Harald Ynderstadt, Hermann Harde, Maria da Assunção Araújo, Nils-Axel Mörner, Henrik Sven Mark, Camille Veyres, Gernot Patzelt, Helmut Alt, Stefan Kröpelin, Michael Schnell, Friedrich-Karl Ewert, Günter Ederer, Michael Limburg, Joanne Nova, James Taylor, Thomas Wysmuller, Henri Masson, Wolfgang Müller, and Holger Thuß.
