Rush Limbaugh Praises Climate Depot: ‘You remember ‘Our Man in Washington, Marc Morano. He’s now a global warming watchdog, and he’s got a website called Climate Depot’

Limbaugh: Enviro-Wackos Worry That Gore’s Hurting Movement — September 16, 2011

RUSH LIMBAUGH 9/16/2011: You remember ‘Our man in Washington’ (from Rush’s TV show in 1990’s), Marc Morano. He’s now a global warming watchdog, and he’s got a website called Climate Depot, and he just sent me an e-mail: “Greens give Gore two thumbs down — Gore’s climate reality show faces strongly negative reviews from his fellow global warming activists.”

Morano’s gone out and found a UK Guardian story, and other scientists around the world are dissociating themselves from Algore and his latest PowerPoint demonstration, and what Morano is doing is good because the rest of the Drive-Bys are not covering it, other than the UK Guardian — and that was a column. That was not a news story. That was a column from a global warming aficionado who is all worried that Gore is becoming a hindrance to the whole movement, that he’s so polarizing, he’s become a joke.

He’s not the same Algore that won the Oscar. He’s not the same Algore from the movie. He’s hurting the movement. (interruption) Who? Algore depressed they have Low T? We haven’t heard anything about that. All we’ve heard about — all we’ve heard about — is Obama. All we’ve heard about is the New York Times (this is reported by Gawker) investigating whether or not Obama is clinically depressed.

Now, Marc Morano, by the way, got the e-mail of the Nobel Prize guy quitting the global warming movement. That was his scoop. A lot of other agencies have it now, like Fox News has picked that up. That is out there, but it was Morano who got the e-mail on it. And Morano has worked with James Inhofe, senator from Oklahoma.

Flashback Nov. 20, 2009: Rush Limbaugh Praises Climate Depot: ‘It’s a great place to keep up on the global warming debate’ Limbaugh: ‘Morano’s probably single-handedly, in a civilian sense, the guy (other than me, of course) doing a better job of ringing the bells alarming people of what’s going on here’

RUSH LIMBAUGH: Nov. 20, 2009: By the way, folks, I want to give you a website to go to when you get a chance. It’s called ClimateDepot.com. Something fascinating has happened, and I was first alerted to this today by our official climatologist, Dr. Roy Spencer. “A hacker has gotten into the computers at Hadley CRU.” That is Britain’s largest climate research institute. They’re a huge proponent of global warming. The hacker “seems to have uncovered evidence of substantial fraud in reporting the ‘evidence’ on global warming; the unlawful destruction of records to cover up this fraud” to keep it away from Freedom of Information Act requests, for example. Deceit in the entire operation. And the best place to get all the detail is Marc Morano, our former “Man in Washington” on my TV show, who runs ClimateDepot.com. All the details are there. It’s a great place to keep up on the global warming debate. He’s probably single-handedly, in a civilian sense, the guy (other than me, of course) doing a better job of ringing the bells alarming people of what’s going on here.

By the way, thank you for shutting down Marc Morano’s website, ClimateDepot.com. We love doing that. I love shutting down people’s websites. It doesn’t last long, but a lot of people flooded his server at ClimateDepot.com.

Flashback: Dec. 7, 2009: Limbaugh cites Climate Depot’s Morano’s role in Climategate: ‘All the Latest from the ClimateGate Stack’

RUSH LIMBAUGH Dec. 7, 2009: One of the e-mails, the AP science writer is a guy named Seth Borenstein, he writes the guys at Hadley, he writes these guys at the Climate Research Unit and says, “Marc Morano is going nuts on some scientific paper here. How do I deal with this, guys?” The AP was asking the hoaxers at the Climate Research Unit how to handle an opposition paper. I’ll read it to you here in a minute. […] From the files of the Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia, it is an e-mail from Seth Borenstein, the Associated Press science writer: Kevin, Gavin, Mike,
It’s Seth again. Attached is a paper in JGR today that Marc Morano is hyping wildly. It’s in a legit journal. Whatchya think?
Seth

So the AP is calling these guys, e-mailing them: Hey, how do I deal with this? It’s in a legitimate journal, how do I deal with it?

Flashback December 17, 2004: Rush Limbaugh cites Marc Morano’s news coverage of UN Climate Conference in Buenos Aries

RUSH LIMBAUGH Dec. 17, 2004: Again from our buddies at the CyberNewsService.com. Our old man, Marc Morano, formerly ‘Our Man in Washington’ on the Rush television show. He is down there covering this U.N. climate meeting for the CyberNewsService.com. They’ve had some great stuff coming out of there this week. Today’s dispatch? “Greens Concede Kyoto Will Not Impact Global Warming.” Noo-o–oh, really! They don’t need to admit it. I have been telling people this for as long as I’ve heard about Kyoto. “After a relentless attack on the U.S. for opposing the Kyoto protocol, environmentalist [wacko] groups concede the international treaty will have no impact on what they believe to be impending catastrophic global warming.”

Flashback 2000: Limbaugh Cites Morano’s Amazon Rainforest Documentary — Rush Limbaugh Show Transcript – June 21, 2000 (2nd Hour)

RUSH LIMBAUGH June 21, 2000: A while back, we told you about the two scientists who discovered that the Amazon rainforest is mostly intact and not nearly as threatened as they thought. American Investigator Reporter Marc Morano’s report is set to air on June 30th. Marc Morano, you know who he is? Does the name ring a bell? “Our man in Washington.”

When we had our TV show, Marc Morano was “Our man in Washington.” He was always down there with his camera, infiltrating liberal havens.

Oh, he found [former Clinton Press Sec. Mike] McCurry. Well, I wouldn’t — look, McCurry had consumed, say, a bit more of that beverage than he should have, but that’s as far as I will go.

But “Our man in Washington,” Marc Morano, is preparing a report on this rainforest business, based on what these two scientists said. And this is bad news for the environmentalist whackos. They’re just a little ticked off at Marc Morano and his report, which is entitled “Amazon Rainforest: Clear-cutting the Myths.” The Rainforest Foundation, populated by some big-name entertainers, is especially flustered.

The wife of rock singer Sting, Trudie Sting — actually, her name is Trudie Styler, but we’ll call her Trudie Sting — was reportedly outraged to learn that the rainforest is more than 90 percent intact. She went on to say that she and her husband would continue to honor their commitment to the indigenous peoples of the rainforest.

Marc Morano confronted many celebrities, just as he used to do as “Our man in Washington” — that’s what he did — he went and confronted these liberals. He came away with the impression that most of them didn’t want to know that they’re participating in what he terms the biggest environmental con of the past two decades. Their knowledge base is very low on all these issues. Well, of course it is. Their knowledge base is irrelevant.
