Anchor Charlie Hurt: It’s September in New York City, which means the weather’s turning and the United Nations is back in town. And there, the forecast never changes. It’s always doom. …
Just when you think there’s no apocalypse left to sell, the UN drops a fresh report, and this one swears it’s worse than we thought. For years, the UN swore 1.5° was the point of no return. Now they admit we have sailed right past it and somehow we’re still here. Crying wolf long enough, the world tunes you out. But 47 didn’t just stop listening; he let him have it. In my opinion, it’s the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world. Climate change, no matter what happens, you’re involved in that. No more global warming, no more global cooling. All of these predictions made by the United Nations and many others, often for bad reasons, were wrong. They were made by stupid people who have cost their countries fortunes and given those same countries no chance for success. If you don’t get away from this green scam, your country is going to fail. But when the Gates of Hell routine stops selling, they never consider whether they might be wrong. Instead, they sue. Now, the Greenies are hauling Trump to court for scrapping Biden’s carbon rules on coal and gas. They’ll sue anyone who calls their bluff.
Anchor Charlie Hurt: But one guy won’t shut up, no matter how hard they try. Marc Morano is the Climate Depot publisher and author of the Green Fraud. So you will be speaking at Climate Week alongside the UN here, Marc. Are you going to save us all?
Marc Morano: Yeah. Well, actually, I’m a featured speaker at the climate events at Climate Week in New York City. My group CFACT got me invited to this speaking forum, and the climate organizers did not realize I was a climate skeptic. So I was able to get in under the radar. Now, the climate activist group has actually realized their oversight and then said, “Well, we’re going to honor free speech.” So, they had me on a panel talking about how we can educate our children for climate action. And of course, I’m going to take the floor when I go to these forums next week. I’m going to go in and say it’s time to stop brainwashing our kids because that’s what this is all about. It’s going to be one of the big events at NYU and the whole Climate Week event. So, that’s what they’re doing, coming after our kids. I don’t know how well it’s going to go. We’ll see. We’ll see if I get tomatoes thrown at me, if they actually end up canceling me right before, or if they control it.
But you mentioned the UN. The UN’s predicting more doomsday. But here’s the more interesting angle. They admitted that they’re pathetic and that they had to unsave the planet this week when they issued this report saying that essentially all of their goals and the UN Paris Agreement from 2015 have spectacularly failed. We have now more fossil fuel use; 81% of energy is coming from fossil fuels.
And this is after 2015, when John Kerry brought his granddaughter to sign the UN Paris Agreement, saying, “This was the day our grandchildren will remember.” President Obama praised it. Every world leader praised it. They said humanity was saved. So the UN just unsaved the world and admitted they were a complete failure. So that’s something we can actually celebrate, and I’ll be bringing that up at Climate Week next week in New York City.
Anchor Charlie Hurt: Indeed. It’s remarkable, especially here in the United States, but around the world as well. The same politicians who have been preaching this doom for so long are the same politicians who are gladly complaining about gas prices and diesel prices when it suddenly becomes politically advantageous to them to do so.
Marc Morano: Yeah. And that’s the other thing. If they actually were worried about energy prices, why would they ever propose the Green New Deal, the cap and trade, the carbon taxes, the UN Paris Agreement? This is exactly what they wanted by design, higher energy prices.
NYC Mayor Mandami, we should be praising him tonight. His solution to climate change is not a big, expensive UN treaty. He wants to put plants on top of bus stops in New York City to offer shade to the residents. And he says it’s a climate solution. So, hey, I’ll buy that. If Mandami wants to put plants on bus stations and we can call climate change solved, it’s a lot cheaper than anything Al Gore, the UN, is promoting. So, I didn’t mean to be on here defending Mandami.
By the way, to fit in, I might wear a t-shirt that says socialism works, just hasn’t been tried correctly. That’s right. Or I might wear a Che Guevara t-shirt. I got to fit in with this crowd here next week.
Anchor Charlie Hurt: Well, it is interesting. The reason the communists love this whole Green New Deal is not because they like the environment, but the whole point of the Green New Deal is that it takes control of absolutely every lever of power, every penny that flows through the economy.
Marc Morano: It does. In 2019, when AOC was first elected, the DSA, which she sprung from, the Democratic Socialists of America, actually had a hard ban on Soviet-style communists and Marxists, and now they’ve done a much more radical version of the Green New Deal. But what they’ve done is put on sheep’s clothing; it’s all now about affordability, it’s all now about the boogeyman of AI data centers. And what’s funny is that the billionaire funders are walking away from climate activism. Zuckerberg, Bezos, and Gates have all scaled back all of their climate funding. So these green activists don’t have a lot to celebrate. Their hope is all on the midterms, that they can send Donald Trump a message.
Anchor Charlie Hurt: Do you have any reason to believe that a lot of these doomsdayers are moving away from the environment and moving towards AI because they see that as their next sort of vehicle for doing what they wanted to do with the Green New Deal but failed?
Marc Morano: Oh, absolutely. In fact, it’s the same fear template we saw in COVID fear-mongering, in climate fear-mongering. They’re now doing it with AI data. And what they try to do is scare you to the point where you can’t make a rational decision. They want you to make an emotional, fear-based decision. Think of Anthony Fauci. Think of COVID. Think of lockdowns. Think of all the mandates. It was all based on fear. You didn’t have time to think or evaluate anything. And that’s exactly what they’re doing in AI right now.
Anchor Charlie Hurt: It’s no different than a scammer calling up a grandma and saying, “We have your daughter, and she’s in prison. You need to send me money right now.” And a remarkable number of people do it, and all of our politicians tend to do it. Marc Morano, as always, great to see you. Thank you.
