Hottest month ever?
That claim is misleading for two reasons:
1️⃣ This is due to minimum temperatures only, which skew the “average.”
2️⃣ The real, measured thermometer data (area-weighted) don’t support this claim.

Half way there as @Ginger_Zee obviously aware of the "warm overnight lows" but then misstates that NOAA confirmed July 2026 was the "hottest month on record"

Nope, July 2026 in the US was not "hotter" than July 1936:
"July averaged 76.89 degrees Fahrenheit (24.94 degrees Celsius) across the Lower 48 states, eclipsing the Dust Bowl’s July 1936 by an eighth of a degree. Records go back to 1895."
