Watch: Morano on OAN TV explaining why Potomac River sewage spill is not prioritized: ‘DC is committed to being carbon-neutral and climate-resilient by 2045!’

Marc Morano: “300 million gallons of raw sewage spewing into the Potomac River. The DC government is saying nothing to see here. Folks move on. But studies are showing E. coli thousands of times higher than the safe limit to consume for drinking water.

You have environmentalists, almost unbelievably silent. And let’s take a look at what the DC government has done here.

The DC government is not silent about one thing: they are committed. And this is good news for everyone; it should be a stand-up-and-cheer moment. DC is committed to being carbon-neutral and climate-resilient by 2045!

They’re all in on a 100% renewable energy, solar, and wind by 2041.

They’re all in for green building efficiency and DC so that they don’t emit too much carbon dioxide.

They’re all for EV transition.

They’re all for climate adaptation

But when it comes to raw sewage?! Crickets, I hear crickets.

They are more interested in protecting you from the boogeyman of the non-existent climate crisis than they are in real, actual raw sewage.

This is a moment of clarity on the state of environmentalism today and on the state of environmental protection in blue state cities and states.

But give DC some credit; they’re also not dealing with their crime issue. It took the National Guard to come in and clean up DC’s crime problem. So at least they’re not just monofocused on ignoring just one issue.”

how climate hijacked environmental movement:

“It’s very, very, very simple. It’s a simple way for politicians, bureaucrats, and people to virtue signal, to feel good about doing nothing, and not only to feel good but to make a lot of money while doing it. You’re going to get campaign contributions. You’re going to be able to give contracts to your friends, carbon capture, getting into green building codes, and where you need managers for that, and you’re going to need bean counters, and you need a whole new level of bureaucracy, and you are going to need increased funding.

They were sucking off the teat of Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, a trillion dollars plus. And by the way, this is important. The Inflation Reduction Act was so bloated under Biden that there were counties in California that received so much money — more money than they could ever spend — they didn’t have enough bureaucrats to figure out how to spend all the green stimulus money. The money sat in bank accounts. I’m talking hundreds of millions of dollars just doing nothing because they didn’t have the bureaucracy to spend it. It reminds you of a scene from the TV series Breaking Bad, where he was making so much money selling illegal drugs that he had to put cash into a storage container, and they ran out of room for the money because it just kept piling up. That’s what the green agenda is. http://youtube.com/watch?v=zXH6fhueO3I&list=WL&index=1&t=52s&sttick=0

See: California needs more staff to “capitalize on the historic influx of federal climate cash” & California can’t spend massive influx of ‘federal climate cash’ to ‘advance climate action’ – “They need more money because they don’t have enough people to spend the money. https://climatedepot.com/2023/11/10/watch-morano-on-fox-news-this-is-a-good-development-that-california-cant-spend-massive-influx-of-federal-climate-cash-to-advance-climate-action-plus-googles-ev-bus-crash/

Morano: Focusing on climate instead of tangible environmental issues was just total virtue signaling. I interviewed a scientist from Canada. He was a former believer. His name is Dr. Dennis Rancourt, a physicist who, about 15 years ago, just had it with the whole climate movement. He bailed out, and he literally said on camera. ‘Climate change has hijacked the environmental movement and real environmental issues are being ignored.’

And you mentioned East Palestine; you can also mention lead in drinking water, other toxic waste cleanups, and sewage in rivers.

This is just a fundraising priority for all of these candidates who promote themselves as saving the planet worldwide. Preventing and cleaning up sewage spills requires competence, dedication, focus, and everyday management. It’s not just grand speeches where you can go out and say you are saving the world, and everyone just pats you on the back. And hey, a billionaire Bill Gates, or a Jeff Bezos or a Michael Bloomberg, will just write you big checks because you’re saving the planet, without doing jack sh*t.”

Morano on Trump admin repealing CO2 Endangerment Finding:

“The Endangerment Finding allowed unelected bureaucrats in Washington DC. — the same ones, ignoring raw sewage, to literally regulate carbon dioxide — what we exhale from our mouths — CO2 — as a pollutant under the Clean Air Act, despite the fact that clean air act never mentioned CO2. That’s how insane this was.

So by this one too punch, Donald Trump brings permanence, and he makes it much harder for future president Gavin Newsom, AOC to get us back into this mess.

It’s like the old Al Pacino mob film: ‘Just when I got out, they pull me back in.” Well, we’re gonna try to break that cycle of being ‘pulled back in.'”

Climate Depot’s Marc Morano on Potomac River sewage and how climate change has hijacked the environmental movement
‘Climate change’ has hijacked real environmental problems — like sewage in rivers – DC is committed to being carbon-neutral and climate-resilient by 2045!
And MD Gov. Moore is all in on stopping climate change! Maryland is focused, environmentally speaking, on the Climate Solutions Act, which will require 60% net-zero, clean energy, and EVs.
In DC, it’s the exact same thing. The DC government is not silent about one thing: they are committed. And this is good news for everyone; it should be a stand-up-and-cheer moment. DC is committed to being carbon-neutral and climate-resilient by 2045! DC is all in on a 100% renewable energy, solar, and wind by 2041. DC is all in for green building efficiency and DC so that they don’t emit too much carbon dioxide. DC is all for EV transition. DC is all for climate adaptation.
But when it comes to raw sewage?! Crickets, I hear crickets. This is where entire government departments have focused — on climate change. A sewage spill? ‘We don’t see that! We don’t see that. We’re worried about saving the planet.’
Real environmental issues, like East Palestine, Ohio, like lead in the drinking water, have been just set aside because of all this virtue signaling. ‘We’re saving the planet. We don’t have time for a sewage spill.’ 300 million gallons of raw sewage spewing into the Potomac River. The DC government is saying nothing to see here. Folks move on. But studies are showing E. coli thousands of times higher than the safe limit to consume for drinking water.
You also have environmentalists, almost unbelievably silent.”
