Morano: “Government agencies took their eyes off the ball. I used to work on the US Senate Environment and Public Works Committee during the George W. Bush administration, and switching to the Obama administration. I was able to see firsthand how the entire priorities of the public works committee shifted to climate change.
It was all hijacked. To give you an example. Maryland is focused, environmentally speaking, on the Climate Solutions Act, which will require 60% net-zero, clean energy, and EVs. In DC, it’s the exact same thing.
This is where entire government departments have focused — on climate change.
A sewage spill? ‘We don’t see that! We don’t see that. We’re worried about saving the planet.’
That’s exactly what’s happened. And we’ve had scientists come out and say the environmental movement has been hijacked by climate change.
Real environmental issues, like East Palestine, Ohio, like lead in the drinking water, have been just set aside because of all this virtue signaling. ‘We’re saving the planet. We don’t have time for a sewage spill.'”
Maryland’s Gov. Moore can’t deal with a sewage spill, but he’s all in on stopping climate change!
