Marc Morano: This is actually a pretty shocking story. Remember all the excitement when we thought a Chinese weather balloon was over the US collecting data: Now, it turns out this green energy was nothing more than a Trojan-horse of technology and surveillance technology that China can literally have the power to shut off our grid, and to destabilize the grid.
What we’re finding out from the Reuters news agency is that China has evil James Bond-like villain powers. What if they’re not happy with our tariff policy? They can start threatening things. This is something that the United States government has fallen asleep at the wheel on. We need to make sure that any energy technology we’re importing from another country does not contain this, but this is a long-term problem that we’re going to have, because of the way our policies have been the last several decades — it’s been a heavy reliance on China.

Global warming was invented to empower China — it may not have been invented for that reason, but it’s certainly the result of giving China all of these powers and this kind of surveillance and ability to destabilize power grids. It’s a massive problem; the Department of Energy is already on this. This an actual security threat to the United States — when you give someone that kind of power and you have that kind of reliance on them. The shocking thing about the whole Inflation Reduction Act and the solar wind combined they provide less than 3% of our total energy consumption. And combined their less than 14% of the global electricity production. There is no there there when it comes to solar and wind energy because as a whole 80% cost of our energy still comes with fossil fuels despite the subsidies, despite the mandates, despite the bans on solar and wind’s, competition. And we now get Chinese infiltration into our energy system with the ability to remotely destabilize our grid. This is not a bargain, and thank God, we’re now trying to reverse all of these policies, and hopefully this time, there’ll be permanent reversals of this green agenda mandates that we’ve been living under since 1992 with the Rio Earth summit.
