It looks like tariffs won’t be killing the stock market, but they might be the final nail in the coffin of green energy. That’s because most major components of the green agenda, such as EVs, solar panels, and even windmill components, are made in China.

The massive tariffs Trump has imposed on China as they continue to resist negotiating, coupled with the drying up of federal subsidies for green energy, could finally force green energy products to compete fairly with other energy sources.

Marc Morano, publisher of The Climate Depot, says that green energy simply can’t survive that. He said, “All of these EVs, solar and wind, they’re going to have to compete on their own. And the first thing wind energy does when anyone talks about subsidies is they protest loudly.”

He says that all of this is more than the green energy industry will be able to bear, and removing their taxpayer handouts and the added benefit of cheap Chinese manufacturing at the same time is a death sentence for the unprofitable industry.

Morano added that, “You don’t have to be a trade expert to see the writing on the wall. Their subsidies are drying up, their competitors are finally having the shackles removed.”

He says hopefully now that the green energy crowd will finally be forced to face the reality that solar and wind energy aren’t viable, investment might finally shift to more viable forms of clean energy like nuclear.
