Marc Morano: “We don’t need an investigation of California’s failure to respond to the wildfires. We know the exact causes of everything that went wrong. It’s a lack of priorities for one thing — human flourishing, human economics, and human well-being. This is a government at all three levels in California- perhaps more than any other planet- that has gone all in on what you could call the Garden of Eden syndrome, with all of their policies designed to restore California to prehuman settlement, the pristine environment.
‘We will save species, save the fish,’ and it just never even occurred to them that all these people lived there and that with more and more people and development, they needed a plan. They needed multiple layers of plans to deal with these kinds of catastrophes — which they apparently knew because they kept warning us ‘climate change’ was causing them, which, by the was, the science doesn’t support. But still, they claimed that they knew [extreme wildfires] were coming, yet all they cared about was bragging about blowing up the dams, destroying them, as Gavin Newsome did. This is an ideological, philosophical problem. That is the root cause of this.”

Morano: “Gavin bragged during the COVID lockdowns that California had more billionaires than anywhere else and that the state’s economy was doing well because of the number of billionaires there. Gavin Newsom needs to care about the middle class, and the working class. He doesn’t. This is about the donor class.”
