Barbra Streisand wrote a November 29, 2022 fundraising letter on behalf of former Vice President Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project. Streisand pulled no punches in promoting a dystopian climate vision.
Excerpt from Streisand’s November 29, 2022 email:
I have been a long-time supporter of former Vice President Al Gore and The Climate Reality Project.
This Giving Tuesday comes at a critical moment for our planet. The climate crisis isn’t a future problem – it’s already here and it’s worsening each year. In 2022, we have suffered record-shattering wildfires, heat waves, and floods. We have watched hurricanes devastate coastal and island communities. We are living with climate catastrophe.
But, perhaps more than ever, there is also reason for hope. The United States and Australia passed historic climate legislation this year. At the COP 27 climate conference, a fund for loss and damage was established – a massive step for countries who are vulnerable to climate change towards achieving justice.
Organizations like The Climate Reality Project are a critical part of these successes – and a critical part to keeping this momentum going.

Flashback 2005: Barbra Streisand helped pioneer the inane phrase ‘Climate Emergency’: Streisand in 2005: “Al Gore passionately stressed that our world no longer has a climate problem, we are in a climate emergency.” Streisand also told ABC’s Diane Sawyer that we were “in a global warming emergency state.”
