Climatologist rips studies claiming ‘climate change likely to increase volcanic eruptions
Climatologist Dr. Roger Pielke Sr. dismissed claims by scientists and several studies claiming that volcanic eruptions will increase due to “climate change.”
“I keep thinking I have seen everything that is claimed that adding CO2 to the atmosphere can do. Nope,” Pielke wrote on January 16, 2020, while referring to an NPR story with the headline: “Climate Change Likely To Increase Volcanic Eruptions, Scientists Say.”
Pielke Sr. added: “Still wondering when rationale discussion on the climate issue will return…”
As a geologist I think someone is looking for grant money.
Isostatic rebound is still ongoing since the last ice age and there was no dramatic increase in volcanism.

We knew it was only a matter of time: Global warming to increase volcanoes! – ‘Proof positive that global warming is omnipotent … even the inner Earth bends to its will’
European Science Foundation scientists: Volcanoes ‘pose more threat to Earth & survival of humans than asteroids, earthquakes, nuclear war & global warming.’ – ‘Experts at the European Science Foundation said volcanoes – especially super-volcanoes like the one at Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, which has a caldera measuring 34 by 45 miles (55 by 72 km) – pose more threat to Earth and the survival of humans than asteroids, earthquakes, nuclear war and global warming.’
