The center of Hurricane Florence crossed over the North Carolina shoreline Friday morning, continuing its lumbering barrage against the Eastern Seaboard.
The Category 1 storm made landfall near Wrightsville Beach, N.C., near Wilmington at 7:15 a.m., according to the National Hurricane Center.
