New paper finds sea level changes since 1950 have been due to natural variability — ‘Finds no evidence of accelerating sea level rise’
'...instead shows running 17 year avg. rise has decelerated over past ~59 years' - Published in Climate of the Past, finds sea level changes in tropical Pacific from 1950-2009 are explained due to natural changes in cycle of El Ninos & La Ninas [called 'internal variability']. 'While our analysis cannot rule out any influence of anthropogenic forcing , it concludes that the latter effect in that particular region is still hardly detectable.'
