Large-scale wind and solar farms require at least 10 times as much land per unit as coal- and natural gas-fired power plants, including the land used to produce and transport the fossil fuels, research shows. But only a fraction of all land is suitable for development. One site might have the wrong slope for solar panels, while another area might be home to an endangered species that development could doom. If developers pick the wrong site, they risk undermining goals of the Inflation Reduction Act, the landmark climate law that offers billions of dollars worth of tax credits for renewable energy projects nationwide.

- Wash Post: ‘Large-scale wind & solar farms require at least 10 times as much land per unit as coal- & natural gas-fired power plants’
WaPo: America's energy transition hinges on decisions about land use, report says. There’s an often-overlooked aspect of America’s energy transition: It will require a lot of land. That means decisions about land use could have a profound impact on the speed and scale of the nation’s shift to clean energy, according to an analysis shared first with The Climate 202 by the ICF Climate Center, a climate research group within global consulting firm ICF.

Energy analysis Mark P. Mills: "You have to dig up about 500,000 pounds of materials to make a single 1000-pound battery. It takes 100 to 300 barrels of oil to manufacture a battery that can hold one barrel of oil equivalent of energy."
Mills is a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute & a faculty fellow at Northwestern University’s McCormick School of Engineering & Applied Science. ... Mills served in the White House Science Office under President Reagan.

Kerry to Poor Nations: 'If they will stop using unabated fossil fuels, we’ll up the chance of winning this battle.' - Kerry: ”“Those countries will really determine what happens. If they will reduce, if they will take the lead, if they will start deploying the new technologies, if they will stop using unabated fossil fuels, we’ll up the chance of winning this battle.”
- Energy Dysphoria: The working class isn’t down with the green transition’
In a new Monmouth poll, just one percent of working-class (noncollege) voters in an open-ended question identify climate change as the biggest concern facing their family. ...did anyone ask the working class whether they wanted to sign up in the climate change army? ... In a new Gallup poll, just 2 percent of working-class respondents say they currently own an electric vehicle and a mere 9 percent say they are “seriously considering” purchasing one. ...
I just don’t see how you can get the working class to support a clean energy transition unless it becomes more of a crusade for abundant, cheap, reliable energy and less about the cultural commitment of college-educated Democrats to an economy built around wind, solar, and electric vehicles no matter the cost.
- Watch: Morano OAN TV on Biden EPA’s EV mandates: ‘This is mandating car shortages for Americans’ to ‘force people into public transit’
One America News Network - In Focus - Broadcast April 10, 2023
Morano excerpt: "This is mandating car shortages for Americans...with the design of forcing more people into public transit. You will go nowhere and be happy. ... Once we don't have the freedom of movement in America that we have grown accustomed to, they will be able to put all sorts of other mandates on you as well. They are making gas-powered cars statutorily extinct...creating radical chaos and car shortages." ...
Bypassing Democracy: "This is why they loved COVID lockdowns, and this is a way of recreating it through a regulatory process. By the way, no one's voting on 15-minute cities. No one's voting on gas car bans. No one's voting on banning meat eating. No one's voting on killing high-yield agriculture. But yet, somehow, it's all happening through corporate government collusion, all bypassing democracy."
Biden's EPA Chief Micheal Regan: "Together, today's actions will accelerate our ongoing transition to a clean vehicles future, tackle the climate crisis head on..."
Morano: "It is easier to transition your gender than it is your energy, particularly on the energy timescales they're talking about. So if you think it's impossible for a man to have a baby, well, then it's equally impossible to have solar and wind power our entire economy. That's the kind of delusion we're living in right now."
- Elon Musk’s Plan Claims a World Without Coal or Oil Saves Trillions – Converting world to entirely clean energy will require $10 trillion worth of investment, compared to a cost $14 trillion to stay on fossil fuels
Converting the world to entirely clean energy will require $10 trillion worth of investment, but continuing to rely on fossil fuels would cost about $14 trillion, according to Elon Musk. A massive build-out of solar-panel factories and metal refineries are required over the next 20 years to deliver renewable-power generation and electricity-storage capacity needed to power the global economy entirely with carbon-free energy, Tesla Inc. said in its Master Plan Part 3 published Thursday. The white paper fleshes out the details of Musk’s vision for a world without fossil fuels.
Climate Depot's Morano: "Elon Musk is living in a green energy fantasy utopian vision. Much like 2 weeks to flatten the curve, we are told just $10 trillion to transition our energy to so-called renewables. Perhaps Elon Musk is trying to win back some positive media after advocating for free speech on Twitter and taking hits and all his various business enterprises. The Way Forward is to use technology and cheap reliable energy to build America's economy, not derail our entire Economy based on a fantasy of green energy based on a premise of a climate crisis. Renewables dig the earth. Not in a 1970s Brady Bunch way, but literally dig deep into the Earth for Rare Earth mining. Green energy reliability and prosperity is always just around the corner - - in this case -- a $10 trillion dollar corner."
Robert Bryce analysis: Elon’s Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Battery Math - Tesla's "Master Plan" for weather-dependent renewables will require 960 years of Gigafactory battery output. - "Gobsmackingly silly" - "Someone at Tesla might think about investing in a calculator."
- ‘Evoke eminent domain’: JP Morgan CEO Says Gov’t Should Seize Private Property to Build Wind & Solar Farms: ‘The window for action to avert…climate change is closing’
JP Morgan CEO, Jaime Dimon in his annual letter to shareholders: "The window for action to avert the costliest impacts of global climate change is closing...We need to do more, and we need to do so immediately...Massive global investment in clean energy technologies must be done and must continue to grow year-over-year. At the same time, permitting reforms are desperately needed to allow investment to be done in any kind of timely way. We may even need to evoke eminent domain – we simply are not getting the adequate investments fast enough for grid, solar, wind and pipeline initiatives. Policies like the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors (CHIPS) and Science Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) — that hold the potential to unlock over $1 trillion in clean technology development — need to be implemented effectively...“The need to provide energy affordably and reliably for today, as well as the necessary investments to decarbonize for tomorrow, underscores the inextricable links between economic growth.”
Dimon also promoted JP Morgan's "DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION EFFORTS"
You Will Own No Land & Be Happy?! UN, World Economic Forum Behind ‘War On Farmers’ & Ending Private Land Ownership - One of the earliest meetings defining the “sustainability” agenda was the U.N. Conference on Human Settlements known as Habitat I, which adopted the Vancouver Declaration. The agreement stated that “land cannot be treated as an ordinary asset controlled by individuals” and that private land ownership is “a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth, therefore contributes to social injustice.” “Public control of land use is therefore indispensable,” the U.N. declaration said, a prelude to the World Economic Forum’s now infamous “prediction” that by 2030, “you’ll own nothing.”
- Watch: Morano debunks Biden’s ‘science-free’ climate/energy claims point-by-point – On Bongino’s Fox News show: ‘I think it’s easier to transition your gender than it is to transition to green energy’
Unfiltered With Dan Bongino - Fox News Channel - Broadcast March 25, 2023
Morano on Energy Dysphoria: "I think it's easier to transition your gender than it is to transition to green energy. There's just no way to put this. This green energy is not green. It's not clean, and it's not cheaper to replace fossil fuels. It requires fossil fuels to make green energy, wind, and solar require more reliance on China, requires rare earth mining, and renewables dig the earth, not in a Brady Bunch 1970s kind of way -- they dig deep into the earth. And what's amazing here is none of Biden's supporters could care less about China, Venezuela, OPEC in the Middle East, exploring their fossil fuels, but they express horror if we do it here in the U.S., suddenly America's evil. They could care less about all these other regimes doing it with lower human rights and lower environmental standards."
Biden touts 1.5 temperature goal:
Morano: "During the Climategate scandal, when all the emails were released, revealed that top UN scientist Phil Jones said, Where did we even get this number, this temperature of 1.5 or 2 degrees goal from? He said it was likely pulled from thin air with no science behind it."
Biden claims the weather is getting more extreme:
Morano: "It's completely science free. There are always going to be floods, droughts, hurricanes, tornadoes, and wildfires. That's the history of the Earth. That's completely normal. What's key here is if you look at the peer-reviewed literature and even buried in United Nations climate reports and the National Climate Assessments -- hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, droughts, wildfires are either not increasing, or they are declining on climate timescales of 30, 50, or 100 years."
- California’s headlong rush to renewables has resulted in soaring electricity prices –- up nearly 15% year-to-year — but the state’s CO2 emissions aren’t falling
Robert Bryce: Since 2008, when Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed an executive order requiring the state’s utilities to obtain a third of the electricity they sell from renewables by 2020, all-sector electricity prices in California have soared by 80%. California residents are now paying the highest electricity prices in the U.S. outside of Hawaii. But here’s the really sobering part: Despite these soaring costs, the state’s headlong rush for renewables has not resulted in a big drop in the state’s electric sector missions. ... California’s surging electricity costs have coincided with increasing renewable energy mandates and the closure of the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station in 2012. ... Gov. Newsom declared that the state was taking the “most aggressive action on climate our nation has ever seen...That’s climate action done the California Way -– and we’re not only doubling down, we’re just getting started.” In other words, last year’s 15% increase in electricity prices was just an amuse-bouche. More big rate hikes are on the way. The punchline here is obvious: California provides a stark warning to the rest of the United States about how NOT to manage an electric grid. Aggressive renewable energy mandates may be politically popular, but they come with exorbitant price tags that punish the poor and provide negligible (if any) cuts in CO2 emissions.
Great Food Reset: Irish Gov’t Seeks to Sacrifice 300,000 Cows To Reach Net Zero Climate Goals – Kerry targets U.S. farmers Next!
The plans have been long in the making, with the proposals first outlined back in 2021. A report at the time suggested that up to 1.3 million cattle would need to be culled in order to reduce greenhouse gases in the Irish agriculture sector to sustainable levels. ... A consortium named the Food Vision Dairy Group was created to examine ways for Irish farmers in the dairy sector to meet climate targets, and a proposal of a €5,000 compensatory payment per cow was considered.

Say What?! The Hill: ‘Climate paradox’ – New study finds emissions cuts ‘will make the earth much hotter in the short term’
The Hill: Climate paradox: Emission cuts could ‘unmask’ deadly face of climate change, scientists warn - One the one hand, cutting fossil fuel pollution is necessary for avoiding severe destruction over the long term. But such cuts will make the earth much hotter in the short term. ...
These cuts remain one of the only examples of successful cuts to climate-warming pollution, but the new study found that those pandemic-era cuts in air pollution led to a rise in global temperatures. The findings, published on Wednesday in the journal NPJ Climate and Atmospheric Science, unveil a stark paradox at the heart of human-caused climate change.
Study: Lower emissions during the COVID lockdowns caused climate warming effect – ‘Short-lived cooling particles in the air was greatly reduced’ -
Study: Lower emissions during the COVID lockdowns caused climate warming effect – ‘Short-lived cooling particles in the air was greatly reduced’
Via Engineering & Technology: While reduced air pollution emissions leads to better air quality, they also enable stronger climate warming effects, scientists in Sweden have said. ... It was discovered that while the concentrations of polluting short-lived air particles decreased significantly, the concentrations of longer-lived greenhouse gases were barely affected in the air mass over South Asia. The cooling effect of the aerosols comes from the fact that they reflect incoming solar radiation back into space. With a lower aerosol content, there is less cooling, and thus less ‘masking’ of the warming effect of the significantly longer-lived climate gases. ...
The results show that a complete phasing out of fossil-fuel combustion in favour of renewable energy sources with zero emissions could result in rapid ‘unmasking’ of aerosols, while greenhouse gases linger. ... “During a couple of decades, emission reductions risk leading to net climate warming due to the ‘masking’ effect of air particles, before the temperature reduction from reduced greenhouse gas emissions takes over.
John Kerry To Peasants: Die, To Save The Planet – ‘The world’s population must slash meat consumption’ – Statistician pushes back: ‘Net Zero is the lunatic idea’
Statistician Dr. WILLIAM M BRIGGS: Kerry claims “the world’s population must slash meat consumption.” ... Stopping people from farming will indeed stop their “emissions”. If by “emissions” he means breathing. Because once farmers stop farming, the food stops. And once the food stops, breathing stops. And once breathing stops, emissions stop. And once emissions stop, the nirvana of “net zero” will have been reached. ...
The government will shut down little- and mid-guy farms, while allowing mega-corporation donors—I mean farm owners—to keep running. Meaning Kerry, and Gates, are calling for a New & Improved! scientific method of collectivisation. Only instead of direct government ownership of farms, oligarchs will own them. The price they pay will be having Experts produce the regulations that govern them. Could it be a coincidence Gates has been buying up farmland?
