Electric power blackouts. The way State and utility planning is going massive, prolonged and frequent blackouts are almost inevitable. Reliable coal fired power is being phased out, replaced with intermittent wind and solar. In net zero states and at the federal level gas fired power is also planned for elimination.

In no case do these State and Federal plans include the enormous amount of energy storage needed to make wind and solar reliable. So as things stand the transition will lead to very unreliable power, which means destructive blackouts

Marc Morano, a former staffer in the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee who runs the website Climate Depot, told The Daily Wire that giving billions to the U.N. fund is equivalent to paying leaders of developing nations to keep their citizens poor.

“The U.N. can be expected to give the most money to those leaders of countries willing to keep their citizens locked in backbreaking poverty,” said Morano, author of the book “Green Fraud: Why the Green New Deal Is Even Worse Than You Think.” “And forget cheap reliable fossil fuels for the nations in the developing world who need it most, as the U.S. will be imposing only ‘green’ energy on those most in desperate need of energy.”

Democrats, banks, regulators and activists have increasingly set their sights on the financial sector and legal system, not Congress, for pushing their aggressive climate agenda. Employing so-called environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives, financial institutions and government agencies have quietly implemented policies prioritizing a focus on factors unrelated to a company’s bottom line, experts said. The ESG movement has swept across the corporate world, leading to individual pledges from companies promising to become more sustainable and improve internal diversity.

Marc Morano of Climate Depot tells AFN the SEC vote represents a backdoor attempt by climate activists to use a “layer of bureaucracy” to enact their radical agenda that failed to get approved in Congress. "They're not having Congress pass a big bill with public hearings and town hall meetings, and talk radio and constituents calling,” he says. “They're doing this through the regulatory agencies of the administrative state.” ... 

Morano predicts the SEC will do more than just collect the information: Companies that fail to live up to environmentalists’ demands, he says, will be harassed for failing to do their part. "It's a way for climate activists to literally get their claws into every aspect of a business now because these disclosures are going to be used against them," he tells AFN. "Everything they can and do report will be used against them by climate activists and the Biden administration bureaucrats."

"A Bermuda-based shell company with ties to Russian oil interests transferred $23 million to California group Sea Change Foundation in 2010 and 2011, citing IRS tax documents. The Center for Strategic and International Studies, a think tank based in Washington DC, published a report that concluded: “Russian-supported consultancies in Europe may be helping some of the environmental groups opposed to hydraulic fracturing”.
