  • Report: The Earth was 570.9% more abundant in 2019 than it was in 1980

"The Simon Abundance Index ® 2020 uses the time price of commodities and change in global population to estimate global resource abundance. The Index represents the ratio of the change in population over the change in the time price, times 100. It has a base year of 1980 and a base value of 100. In 2019, the Index reached a level of 670.9. That is to say that the Earth as a whole was 570.9 percent more abundant in 2019 than it was in 1980."

    ...

"The world’s resources are finite in the same way that the number of piano keys is finite. The instrument has only 88 notes, but those can be played in an infinite variety of ways. The same applies to our planet. The Earth’s atoms may be fixed, but the possible combinations of those atoms are infinite. What matters, then, is not the physical limits of our planet, but human freedom to experiment and reimagine the use of resources that we have."

Since 1986, the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) surveys roughly 100 of the 3000 coral reefs of the Great Barrier Reef (GBR). Ridd used this data to construct the coral cover since 1986 (Figure 1) which shows that the GBR has record high coral cover.

  • Debunked: Kentucky’s Floods Were NOT Caused By ‘Climate Change’ – Media/Biden ‘Claims are rubbish & fraudulent’

Paul Homewood: As ever, the claims are rubbish and fraudulent. The record 24-hour rainfall in Kentucky stands at more than 10 inches, and was set in 1997.

Trends in extreme rainfall are not on the rise in Kentucky. ... As is usually the case, the media interviews the locals, who understandably say “this is the worst we have ever seen”. Of course it is, because these are small-scale, localised events, and people’s experience only dates back a couple of decades or so. The harsh reality, however, is that floods like these happen, and have always happened, somewhere or other every year. They have nothing to do with climate change. • We’re Saved! Professor from University of Maine finds ‘the root causes of climate change are capitalism, white supremacy, & colonialism’
    Jacquelyn Gill
Dr. Jacquelyn Gill: "The root causes of climate change are capitalism, white supremacy, and colonialism, all of which put profits over people and treat people and the environment as disposable commodities. Blaming folks like service workers, retail workers, and others is not a good look."
Jacquelyn Gill is an Associate Professor of Paleoecology & Plant Ecology, School of Biology and Ecology and Climate Change Institute at the University of Maine.
