John Kerry To Peasants: Die, To Save The Planet – ‘The world’s population must slash meat consumption’ – Statistician pushes back: ‘Net Zero is the lunatic idea’

https://wmbriggs.substack.com/p/john-kerry-to-peasants-die-to-save By WILLIAM M BRIGGS It doesn’t seem to make much difference whether a man inherits his money or earns it. Once he reaches a certain threshold of the green stuff, there’s a good chance he will begin to equate his own intelligence with the level of his wealth. He says to himself that only a true genius could have this much money, an attitude which is a special form of madness. The dumber, and richer, he is the more likely he is to fall prey to this fallacy. The reason is the rich man is surrounded by supplicants. Greedy leeches schooled in the art of flattery. Even ordinary people, not rapacious themselves, are overawed by stacks of cash and become prone to babbling meaningless compliments. They always have a distant hope some of that gold will shine on them. Stupid people, rich or no, are more likely to accept these endless and earnest praises. Surrounded by incessant praise, they come to believe it. Enter John Kerry, who, by marriage, got his money. But we needn’t hold this union against him. Because he could just as well have earned it himself and come to the same idiotic end. No other theory beyond the one I advanced adequately explains his theory that to “save the planet” we need to shut down farms. Yes, he did too say so. And he said it sitting next to another man who resisted Epictetus’s admonition to reject flattery, computer software salesman Bill Gates. Quoting: Kerry, Biden’s Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, issued the warning during a green agenda conference in Washington D.C. During the Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) AIM for Climate Summit, Kerry told the audience that “we can’t get to net zero, we won’t get this job done, unless agriculture is front and center as part of the solution.” Kerry warned attendees that his and other world leaders’ “lives depend” on farmers ceasing their operations. Stopping farmers from growing food will lower agriculture “emissions,” Kerry insists. Net zero is the lunatic idea that some bureaucrat’s measure of “carbon”—the midwits means carbon dioxide, but can’t bring themselves to say it, it sounds so nonsensical—will balance out in some Expert model they create for themselves. You don’t get to see what goes into these models, but must trust the Experts when the magical condition of “net zero” has been met. Now Kerry is right about one thing. Stopping people from farming will indeed stop their “emissions”. If by “emissions” he means breathing. Because once farmers stop farming, the food stops. And once the food stops, breathing stops. And once breathing stops, emissions stop. And once emissions stop, the nirvana of “net zero” will have been reached. I realize that this sounds stupid, and I am embarrassed to have to write it. My having to explain that it is food that keeps people alive means we have regressed in science to a point even before Neanderthal man’s contributions. Still, that is where we are. What in the unholy Hell else could “lives depend” on stopping farming mean? Kerry went on to say, with Gates drooling his agreement, that “the world’s population must slash meat consumption.” Which will be simplicity itself, once farms are shut down. But, now I think on it, I might have to explain to those Experts reading this that, believe it or not, animal meat comes from farms and not the grocery store. In practice, Kerry’s plan is like the Dutch government’s. They are using “nitrogen” to fret about in the Netherlands and not “carbon.” A matter of taste, I guess. The end result is the same. The government will shut down little- and mid-guy farms, while allowing mega-corporation donors—I mean farm owners—to keep running. Meaning Kerry, and Gates, are calling for a New & Improved! scientific method of collectivisation. Only instead of direct government ownership of farms, oligarchs will own them. The price they pay will be having Experts produce the regulations that govern them. Could it be a coincidence Gates has been buying up farmland? “That’s poor writing, Briggs. It is a coincidence. You want to ask what it means.” You’re right. The better thing to ask is, is Gates a raving madman, or is he merely greedy?

Bill Gates funded Lab-grown meat ‘could be 25 times worse for the climate than beef’ – ‘Highly energy intensive’ – ‘Meat’ grown in steel vats from stem cells from animal

Hundreds of scientists blast ‘zealots’ pushing plant-based diets, argue meat is crucial for health

https://nypost.com/2023/05/01/hundreds-of-scientists-blast-zealots-pushing-plant-based-diets/ By Isabel Keane Hundreds of scientists have banded together to blast the push to adopt a plant-based diet, arguing that meat is critical to a well-balanced diet — and warning against villainizing carnivores. Experts behind nine new research papers published in Animal Frontiers are among nearly 1,000 signatures on a declaration looking to prove the value of red meat amid a global increase in vegetarianism and veganism. “Livestock-derived foods provide a variety of essential nutrients and other health-promoting compounds, many of which are lacking in diets even among those populations with higher incomes,” the declaration states. “Well-resourced individuals may be able to achieve adequate diets while heavily restricting meat, dairy and eggs. However, this approach should not be recommended for general populations.” The initiative argues that livestock systems are “too precious to society to become the victim of simplification, reduction or zealotry.” “These systems must continue to be embedded in and have broad approval of society,” the declaration says. Scientists behind the papers looked to debunk claims that the consumption of red meat is unhealthy and has negative environmental impacts. The group of researchers argued in their new papers that livestock is “too precious” to not consume.Getty Images Animal Frontiers is the official science research journal for four prominent professional animal science societies.Oxford University Press The group found that previous research suggesting a diet high in red meat was responsible for 896,000 deaths worldwide was flawed and should be retracted. That study, the major Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries and Risk Factor Study, has helped push the public away from consuming red meat in favor of plant-based diets. “The peer-reviewed evidence published reaffirms that [the 2019 Global Burden of Disease Risk Factors Report] which claimed that consumption of even tiny amounts of red meat harms health is fatally scientifically flawed,” argued Alice Stanton of the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland. The research argued that red meat is necessary for a balanced diet.Oxford University Press “In fact, removing fresh meat and dairy from diets would harm human health. Women, children, the elderly and low income would be particularly negatively impacted,” Stanton added. The scientists also warned that it is difficult to replace the nutritional value of meat with plant-based substitutes and that poorer communities that don’t consume as much meat often suffer from negative health impacts, such as stunting, wasting and anemia due to lack of nutrients and protein. “Animal-source foods are superior to plant-source foods at simultaneously supplying several bioavailable micronutrients and high-quality macronutrients that are critical for growth and cognitive development,” said Adegbola Adesogan, director of the University of Florida’s Global Food Systems Institute. Scientists behind the research are among signatories of the Dublin Declaration.Oxford University Press 62 What do you think? Post a comment. “Dietary recommendations to eliminate animal-source foods from diets ignore their importance, particularly the great need for these foods in diets of the undernourished in the Global South.” The Dublin Declaration, which called for “zealots” to stop promoting a meat-free diet, includes signatures from experts across several top universities, including Cambridge, Edinburgh, Bristol, Belfast, Newcastle, Nottingham, and Surrey as well as several scientists from Britain’s leading farming university Harper Adams. ‘Real’ Meat Grown In Steel Vats Served At UN Climate Conference

https://dailycaller.com/2022/11/17/real-meat-grown-steel-vats-un-climate-conference/ By JACK MCEVOY Individuals attending the United Nations COP27 climate conference who want to eat a climate-friendly diet can consume meat that is grown in steel vats. Media and ministerial officials at Egypt’s climate summit were served “cultivated chicken” at private events from Nov. 12 to Nov. 14, according to cultivated meat manufacturer GOOD Meat’s press release. “Cultivated chicken” is artificially produced by harvesting chicken cells from the animal that are then put into a large steel “cultivator” which provides energy and warmth to help grow the product, according to GOOD Meat’s website. (RELATED: House Democrats Pressure Biden Admin To Embrace Climate Reparations) “Lab-grown meat may be an even more disgusting alternative than insects as it requires the stem cell extraction of animals, along with fetal animal blood and then letting it fester in a lab while an amorphous blob grows the ‘meat,’” Marc Morano, publisher of Climate Depot and former senior staffer on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. World leaders and officials can enjoy $100 Angus beef medallions, seafood and other pricey food options in COP27’s VIP zone. COPGourmet, the official caterer of COP27, does not offer any vegan dishes on its VIP menu even though the UN promotes plant-based diets to cut carbon emissions caused by meat production. “Not only was COP27 in Egypt rife with hypocrisy and high-end meat eating, but previous UN climate summits also featured the alleged climate danger of meat,” Morano said. “Cultivated” meat has the potential to substantially reduce carbon emissions that are produced by food production, according to the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. The UN also aims to “minimize emissions per calorie” and to reduce meat consumption in order to limit the climate “impacts” of agriculture, according to a COP27 food security document. GOOD Meat’s COP27 Presentation, Nov. 12, 2022. Although GOOD Meat is attempting to bring down costs by forming partnerships within the food industry and ramping up production, it has not made profits by selling “cultured chicken” for the same price as conventional chicken in Singapore, Andrew Noyes, global communications vice president of Eat Just, GOOD Meat’s parent company, told the DCNF. GOOD Meat has already begun supplying restaurants in Singapore with “cultivated chicken” products and plans to a large facility that is capable of producing massive quantities of lab-grown meat, according to a June press release. The company’s chicken is more climate-friendly as it can be grown in just a few weeks and takes fewer resources to produce as they only grow the parts of the animal that will be eaten, according to Noyes. “A series of historic dining experiences … will showcase GOOD Meat’s real, high-quality meat made from animal cells for the first time outside of the Southeast Asian city-state,” the GOOD Meat new release reads.

‘Staggering Disconnect’: UN Climate Summit Boasts Opulent Beef, Seafood Menu Despite Spearheading Anti-Meat Initiatives

https://dailycaller.com/2022/11/16/un-climate-summit-lavish-vip-menu/ By JACK MCEVOY World leaders and officials attending the United Nations COP27 climate conference can spend up to $100 per entree to eat red meat, seafood and other gourmet menu items. However, the UN has previously discouraged red meat consumption due to the carbon emissions that beef farming creates. Delegates who arrive at Egypt’s beachside resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh to discuss ways to mitigate the “climate crisis” are able to enjoy COPGourmet’s $100 Angus beef medallion which is served with mushroom sauce and sauteed potatoes, according to screenshots obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. However, the UN aims to “minimize emissions per calorie” and to reduce meat consumption in order to prevent the planet from overheating, according to a COP27 food security document. (RELATED: Two Of The World’s Top CO2 Emitters Are Snubbing The UN’s Climate Summit) “The menu on offer is yet another example of the staggering disconnect between so-called leaders and the people they represent,” Nathan McGovern, a spokesperson for the animal and climate activist group Animal Rebellion, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “It is hypocritical for delegates at COP27 to be dining on the destruction of our natural world, whilst simultaneously claiming to be trying to protect it.” Although many Egyptian dishes, including its national dish Koshary, are vegan, not one main dish on the VIP menu is vegan, and the $20 pesto and cheese ravioli represent the sole vegetarian entree on offer. A plant-based diet is healthy and can help reduce individuals’ environmental impact as meat farming produces significant amounts of carbon emissions, according to the UN. “It was amusing to hear about how Angus beef and sea bass was being served to certain officials, while at the same time, side events at COP27 were championing the idea of going vegan and eliminating red meat,” Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow President Craig Rucker told the DCNF. COP27’s VIP Lunch And Dinner Set Menu, November 16, 2022. COPGourmet/Screenshot The VIP menu is only available for COP27 attendees who have security clearance to enter the private, “Blue Zone” of the conference. Such attendees can also purchase the $125 “classic cocktail” package to receive unlimited cocktails, foie gras and other savory as well as sweet snacks for up to 90 minutes. The UN organizers vowed to make the conference a sustainable and carbon-neutral event to demonstrate their “ambitious aspiration” towards climate action, according to the COP27 official website. “The conference also had chilly air conditioning, often left its doors wide open to the desert air and featured some 400 private jets flying into a posh Red Sea resort area in a country that gets 90% of its energy from fossil fuels,” Rucker said. COPGourmet and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change did not respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

The Dutch government is waging an all-out war on farmers forcing them to slash their livestock numbers by a third. Farmers are fighting back by dumping manure along the highways. There are concerns it could have a worldwide impact on the food supply. Here to weigh in is the author of the upcoming book, The Great Reset. Marc Morano. Marc, thanks a lot for joining us. this is kind of a problem Marc, no farms, no food. I have a rule on this show, don’t get dead. Is what we are seeing in the Netherlands a sign of things to come if the climate activists get their way here in the U.S. and other places? Marc Morano: Yes. It’s happening already. Sri Lanka’s entire government collapsed because they got rid of modern farming and went all organic. The president even bragged at the World Economic Forum, that he was going to make his country rich. And they pulled that article. Justin true Trudeau is implementing similar problems that we saw in the Netherlands. This is shutting down massive high-yield agriculture that has fed the world for decades. But they are turning the clock back and claiming a climate crisis where none exists and they are now going after our food supply. This will have devastating consequences because as the old Chinese proverb saying, ‘When food is on the table there are many problems. When there is no food, there is only one problem.’ Dan Bongino: Marc, no one knows more about the Great Reset than you, you literally wrote a book on it, we just showed the cover. But I would like to run something by you on a theory I have. This reset, the authoritarian crowd — when you cause chaos people will clamor for order. They are trying to push everybody into the city. One of the best ways to reset is to attack the food supply. No food on the table, you have got one big problem. Marc Morano: That’s been their goal. First of all, you have the World Economic Forum which Bill Gates is a prominent member. He’s the single largest American farm owner. No one likes a monopoly. China is also gobbling up American farmland. So it’s a competition. China versus Bill Gates. Who do you want to win that battle? We know Bill Gates’ stated goal is to get us to stop eating meat and eat lab-grown vegetable oil-processed meat. And insects. They are all in on this. The more they get it. That’s why they go after the Netherlands. They are the number one meat exporter in Europe. Prince Charles wants to put facemasks on cows. Dan Bogino: Marc, thanks for coming on. I really appreciate it. # Related:  World Economic Forum claims Biden/Manchin. bill promotes ‘climate-smart agriculture’ – Is that what we call Sri Lanka & the Netherlands?! – Does that mean Bill Gates & China buy up all of your farmland?! Under Biden’s Socialist Green New Deal, Regulation Of Red Meat Will Happen

https://lidblog.com/socialist-green-new-deal/ by Jeff Dunetz ParlerFacebookTwitterFlipboard Despite the rumors, President Biden hasn’t officially announced he will regulate cows and red meat. But regulating red meat is part of the Socialist Green New Deal that Biden supports and included much of as part of his infrastructure plan. Most probably, red meat regulation will be part of Biden’s plan to subordinate the US to China by cutting greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030. We need to start fighting those potential regulations now. During the Oscars on Sunday, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), another slave of the socialist left, hinted that red meat regulations were coming. All beer is plant-based. So Schumer must have been previewing what was coming. President Biden’s infrastructure plan includes the economy-killing Green New Deal, a Trojan horse to destroy the economy. Part of the Green New Deal is getting rid of cows—the source of red meat. In fact, the original Green New Deal proposal said: Why supporters of the unproven Climate Change hypothesis picking on cows?  Because cows have rude bodily habits–they fart–a lot. On average, every cow releases 30 to 50 gallons of methane a day via farting and belching—-which is really nothing when compared to the fact that when growing up, I shared a bedroom with my brother. And I can promise you that he answered the call of the wild burrito much more than the average cow (he will tell you that it was me, but that would be a lie). The climate doomsayers don’t understand s that everyone and everything farts. Even Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez cuts the proverbial cheese (but I doubt she admits it). In fact, the average human butt toots their own horn 10 to 20 times a day.  Note: Many of the far-left socialist programs the Democrats are trying to shove through smell like bottom burps– but they don’t emit methane. Human one-cheek squeaks, at least the microbes that cause the spontaneous eruptions, happen to be good for us. Modern society views flatulence as a negative. This is unfortunate because in most cases it’s the byproduct of a beautiful thing — the intricate ecosystem of bacteria living in your intestines. “It’s a complex ecology, with various organisms coexisting and thriving,” Kashyap says. “When a complex carbohydrate reaches your colon, some bacteria will break it down first, and then some of their byproducts will feed other bacteria. The whole community benefits from a single carbohydrate that you consume.” The scare-mongers of climate change are unfairly picking on cows. Cats fart, chickens, goats, kangaroos, termites, and most other animals produce Bronx cheers. As explained in this video: Even Joe Biden’s biting dogs fart (although sometimes when humans fire a stink torpedo, they blame their dogs). The bottom line is that while it hasn’t been announced as of yet, based on the Green New Deal, red meat will eventually be regulated. It is up to us meat-loving carnivores to fight any regulations before they are announced. Red meat is only one issue with Biden’s Green New Deal. Most Americans don’t fully understand what’s in the Green New Deal and what it will do to America. Much of the deal is nothing more than a Trojan horse to destroy the economy and make the U.S. beholden to China — which has no intention of instituting similar measures — and it will force us to depend on China just to keep the lights on. A new book by Marc Morano is a must-read, Green Fraud: Why the Green New Deal Is Even Worse Than You Think, and will tell you everything you need to know about the socialist green new deal.
