Watch: Davos Depopulation & Climate Crisis Talk is Disturbing & Inaccurate

The World Economic Forum (WEF) at Davos concluded leaving some commentators concerned about depopulation talk from high profile individuals like Jane Goodall, misinterpreted IPCC SR1.5 findings by Greta Thunberg, and talk of doomsday battles by Al Gore. Roger Pielke, Jr. has written an interesting story in Forbes, showing that climate catastrophe and depopulation notions stem from the most extreme computer simulated scenarios, known as Representative Concentration Pathway 8.5 – RCP 8.5, and how this became ‘mainstream’ thinking due to an influential report funded by green billionaires and promoted by activists. But the authors of the original report, never even intended for these simulations to be used in this way – and neither can the extreme RCP 8.5 be compared to any other scenario, especially as the others are calculated on a world with 3 billion fewer people by 2100. Is that spawning depopulation chatter? Perhaps. Both climate crisis and depopulation themes are disturbing and inaccurate. CLINTEL – the global climate intelligence group of over 800 scientists dispute the claims of a climate emergency.
