Existing a Paris is racist?! ACLU: U.S. Exiting Paris Climate Accord Is ‘An Assault on Communities of Color’

ACLU calls exiting climate accord racist.

Pulling out of the Paris Climate Accord is racist, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) declared in response to President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw from the climate deal President Barack Obama unilaterally committed the U.S. to without the Senate’s approval.

“Pulling out of the Paris Agreement would be a massive step back for racial justice, and an assault on communities of color across the U.S.,” ACLU warned in a Twitter post Thursday.

“Climate change doesn’t affect us all equally,” it states, claiming “Black and brown people are more likely to live need coal plants.”

What’s more, asthma afflicts white people less than it does minorities, the ACLU says.
