Obama’s RICO-style Enemies of Actual Climate Science

In recent months, ‘round-the-clock attacks have been waged by UN-IPCC and NOAA-GISS-EPA “climate change” radicals in the Obama Administration and in radical-Left circles of the media and academia against increasing numbers of climate scientists who question the popular premise that so-called “global warming” – of which there has been none in almost 19 years! — is caused primarily by carbon dioxide (CO2) produced by man’s burning of fossil fuels.

Such distinguished scientists as Harvard’s Dr. Willie Soon, Princeton’s Dr. Will Happer, MIT’s Dr. Richard Lindzen, NASA’s John Christy and Roy Spencer and many others here, in Europe and worldwide are being attacked as “tools of Big Oil” or of “Dirty Coal” or as “climate criminals” — for their daring to doubt or deny so-called “climate change.”

In recent days, the President has even hinted that military officers who dispute his radical climate-control policies might be charged with “dereliction of duty.” And just as vindictive, radical-Left US Senator Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island has proposed that leading deniers and skeptics – presumably including most GOP Senate colleagues — be charged, tried and convicted as “climate criminals” under the RICO (Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) statutes now in place.

Finger-pointing “warmists” are guilty themselves

But as an earlier article by this writer has proven in great detail, it is these UN-NOAA-GISS-EPA finger pointers who are THEMSELVES denying, minimizing and discounting almost 20 elements of actual climate science which are the “drivers” and determinants of both short-term weather and long-term climate – all in deference to the alleged catas-trophic influence (see # 20 below) of the trace gas CO2, as follows:

• the science of solar cycles — sunspots, flares and eruptions,
• the science of decades- and centuries-long ocean cycles,
• the science of jet streams, vortexes and wind currents,
• the science of Earth’s orbits around sun & tilts on its axis,
• the science of outer-space galactic and cosmic winds,
• the science of cloud formation and sunlight feed-back,
• the science of human beings inhaling, exhaling, flatulence,
• the science of both wild & domestic animals breathing, flatulence,
• the science of heat retention by water vapor and humidity,
• the science of both surface & sub-sea volcanic eruptions, seepages,
• the science of sub-sea methane formations and releases,
• the science of CO2 as a result, not a cause, of ocean & global warming,
• the science of ocean & atmospheric convection currents, boundaries,
• the science of CO2 as vital fertilization, not as toxic “pollution,”
• the science of non-energy forest, grass, marsh, urban and other fires,
• the science of CO2 from urban waste landfills, incineration, composting,
• the science of natural seepages of natural gas, methane, coal gas, etc.,
• the science of seasonal rotting and decay of leaves and other biomass,
• the science of methane & other GH gasses from insects, esp. termites,
• the science of mankind’s energy-related burning of fossil/CO2 fuels

Nature of the Cult and its modus operandi

And, worse yet, they are fervently promoting this ‘ClimateScam” denial-of-science in a fashion which closely resembles the modus operandi of the pseudo-religious cults which are described so well in Walter Martin’s and Ravi Zacharias’ definitive, award-winning 2003 book, “Kingdom of the Cults:”

1. 1. Leadership by a self-glorifying, New Age Prophet – originally, former Vice-president Al Gore but now President Barack Obama.
2. 2. Assertion of an apocalyptic threat to all mankind.
3. 3. An absolutist definition of both the threat and the proposed solution(s).
4. 4. Promise of a last-minute salvation from this pending apocalypse.
5. 5. Devotion to an inspired text which (arguendo)embodies all the answers — in this case, Prophet Al Gore’s pseudo-scientific book “Earth in the Balance” and his more recent “An Inconvenient Truth” documentary.
6. 6. A specific list of Ten Cultic Commandments (now removed for reasons of word-count) which must be embraced and proselytized by all Cult members.
7. 7. An angry intolerance of any deviation from any of these truths by any Cult member.
8. 8. A strident intolerance of any outside criticism of the Cult’s definition of the problem or of its proposed solutions.
9. 9. A “Heaven-on-Earth” vision of the results of the mission’s success and/or a “Hell-on-Earth” result if the cultic mission were allowed to fail.
10. 10. An inordinate fear (and an outright rejection of the possibility) of being proven wrong in either the apocalyptic vision or the proposed salvation — and a condemnation of heresy or “climate criminality” for all deniers and skeptics.

Deceitfully scamming the public, punishing the “Deniers”

Finally, because this correctly-labeled “Global Carbonian Cult” seems intent on brain-washing and enforcing its beliefs on all Americans, on most of the media and academia, on virtually all Democrats in the Congress and even on many mainline churches, here is an endless list of the tactics, schemes and scams by which they manipulate their multi-billion-dollar money-grubbing, power-grabbing goals:

• ClimateScam of embracing model-concocted rather than observed data
• ClimateScam of always avoiding econometric cost-to-benefit evaluation
• ClimateScam of manipulating number and location of weather readings
• ClimateScam of manipulating & distorting observed data after-the-fact
• ClimateScam of EEEKology — scare-tactics enviro-hyping propaganda
• ClimateScam of ignoring the many benefits of more atmospheric CO2
• ClimateScam of blocking VIP publication of contrarian analysis, R&D
• ClimateScam of blocking avenues to peer-review confirmation of such
• ClimateScam of funding only the Cult’s self-serving R&D projects
• ClimateScam of demonizing, even criminalizing doubters & skeptics
• ClimateScam of “junk science” perjury to both Congress and Courts
• ClimateScam of distorting text books, curricula grammar-to-graduate
• ClimateScam of promising affordable “green power” years too early
• ClimateScam of promising more rather than much fewer good jobs
• ClimateScam of claiming to be science-based rather than Cultic
• ClimateScam of overstating aerosol & other alleged “heat-masking”
• ClimateScam of opposing tenure for faculty who doubt or deny
• ClimateScam of punishing students who doubt, minimize or deny
• ClimateScam of vilifying workers, officials, candidates who deny
• ClimateScam of false promises to poor families and poor nations
• ClimateScam of falsely listing scientists as UN-IPCC supporters
• ClimateScam of often refusing to de-list scientists at their request
• ClimateScam of false summaries & conclusions of UN-IPCC Reports
• ClimateScam of failure to correct errors (e.g., re Himalayan Glaciers)
• ClimateScam of citing patently false numbers of a “97% consensus”

Career-ending charges of “Dereliction of Duty?”

The list of perversions and dire consequences could go endlessly on – and has even moved lately into the realm of national security affairs, with senior officers subtly being warned of career-ending charges of “dereliction of duty” as punishment for daring to doubt or deny what – in several insistent paragraphs — the Commander in Chief recently told the 2015 graduating class at the US Coast Guard Academy:

“Here at the Academy, climate change — understanding the science and the conse-quences — is part of the curriculum, and rightly so, because it will affect everything that you do in your new careers.  Some of you have already served in Alaska and aboard icebreakers, and you know the effects.  As America’s Maritime Guardian, you’ve pledged to remain always ready — Semper Paratus — ready for all threats… And climate change is one of those most severe threats.”

But throughout the rest of the speech he paid homage not to the 20-odd elements of actual climate science which are the complex drivers and determinants of both weather and climate but to the political, pseudo-religious and “junk science” postulations of the UN-IPCC’s and the NOAA-GISS-EPA’s correctly named “Global Carbonian Cult.”

The question now is whether we Americans will continue in typical “useful idiot” style to embrace, to create intrusive bureaucracies for and to wastefully fund such ClimateScam initiatives both here and internationally – now at a level of over $20 billion a year and proposed by the President to grow exponentially?

Or will we belatedly rise up in angry opposition and correctly unmask and defrock these so-called “climate change” miscreants in ways that prove in scientific terms exactly

(a) who these carbon-tax, power-grabbing, junk-science activists really are,

(b) how they operate as a pseudo-religious and pseudo-scientific cult,

(c) how even Pope Francis has been duped into this Gaia-worshiping hoax, and

(d) how their UN-IPCC- and NOAA-GISS-EPA-based “ClimateScam” can now be exposed for the RICO-style racket it is and eventually be defeated outright.
