IPCC’s 95% Synthesis er Synthetic Science

Source: Larry PickeringA recent report on Australia’s National Broadcaster – the ABC by environment and science reporter Jake Sturmer begins:The world’s top scientists have given their clearest warning yet of the severe and irreversible impacts of climate change. The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has released its synthesis report, a summary of its last three reports.Speaking of the same IPCC synthesis report 2014, Elizabeth Shogren for National Geographic wrote:The latest report from the main international panel charged with assessing climate change, released today in Copenhagen, shouts the same basic message scientists have been telling governments for decades. There are multitudes of reports praising the IPCC and using phrases like “the world’s top scientists…” and “main international panel charged with assessing climate change”Where does the truth lie? From the IPCC’s charter (link – pdf)ROLE (bold added)2. The role of the IPCC is to assess on a comprehensive, objective, open and transparent basis thescientific, technical and socio-economic information relevant to understanding the scientific basis ofrisk of human-induced climate change, its potential impacts and options for adaptation and mitigation. So, they are not the “main international panel charged with assessing climate change” but rather the main international panel charged with assessing only human-induced climate change. As Donna Laframboise wrote in her book “The Delinquent Teenager….”…scientists are fully aware that the IPCC is controlled by politicians and that its reports serve a larger political purpose. The Summary for Policymakers documents are similar to diplomatic treaties. When every word is carefully negotiated we can be sure that any scientific facts that happen to survive are there for one purpose only: to promote a handful of political agendas. Not a science report, only a political report! And only on human-induced climate change.
