Global Sea Ice Extent is 176,000 sq km above the 1981-2010 mean. That is ranked 15 for the day. And still higher than the 1981-201 mean.
Antarctic Sea Ice Extent is 1,530,000 sq km above the 1981-2010 mean. That is ranked 1 for the day. This is 2.3 million sq km higher than the 2002 extent for the same day.
Arctic Sea Ice Extent is -1,355,000 sq km below the 1981-2010 mean. That is ranked 32 for the day.
